Vampire Zach pt. 3

Y/N POV (A month later)

Its been a month since I've been here and finally knowing the truth has caused a huge weight to lift off my shoulders. It's gotten easier actually wanting to stay here. 

Still disappointed that I can never go back home, Now that I think about it, I didn't have much to go back to anyway.

I've been able to keep in touch with my family, and they never really visited me before so they couldn't be the wiser. 

Zach and I have been taking it slow during this time, but I can tell it's taking a toll on him with us being friends. 

Like times when he would reach to grab me by the waste, but at the last second, would pull back, then continues to growl at nothing and then walks away begrudgingly. 

Another instance would be like now, where we're both sitting in the living room watching a movie. Him sitting on the other end of the couch, but he's paying more attention to me than the movie. 

How do I know this? Well, I can hear him shifting every couple of seconds and when I turn to him he's staring at me, but when I catch him he turns back to the tv, a tint of red forming on his cheeks.

I can't help but laugh because he's so cute.

"What are you laughing at, the movie isn't even funny." He's right, we're currently watching The Notebook, but we haven't got to that part yet so i have control over my emotions. 

"I'm laughing at you because you've been acting like a little boy with a crush." I scoot closer to him as he tries to scoot away, but he's running out of the couch. 

"Well technically I am, the girl I like, a lot, by the way, is sitting across from me and I can't even touch her and-"

"Who said you couldn't touch me, Zach?" 

He full-on blushes at that."Well i mean, you had said, um well that we should start as friends, so i uhh figured we couldn't get too close." 

I'm just about squished against him at this point, "Zachary, I know I said we should start as friends but to progress we have to get close to each other," I grab his hand for comfort. "look I understand your probably new to this whole dating thing, but its not as hard as you think it is. It's honestly easier for you since I live here, you can talk and get close to me as much as you want okay?" 

He looks at me unsure but nods anyway. Taking in my words until he turns back to me. 

"Wait, you said you lived here, does that mean you don't mind being here anymore?" He seems anxious, but I give him my most honest answer.

"Honestly being stuck here has given me a lot of time to think. Think about my life and where I was even going with it and honestly I had no idea, but being here. It gives me time to think about it freely without worrying about bills or anything so yeah I don't mind it so much anymore and i quite enjoy your company Zachy." 

With this, he grabs at me and sits me on his lap straddling him, "Of course you don't have to worry about anything like that being here, once you become my queen you can have and do anything you want." He gives me a huge cashmere smile as he stares into my eyes. 

I feel entranced or more like I don't want to stop from staring into his eyes. Despite being half-dead, they're still full of life.

Is that because of me?

I place my hand onto his bare chest to check something, and yup it's confirmed, the vampire's heart is beating. Like literally beating. 

"Zach?"
