*did yall read it in his voice too...? No....? okay.😔*
3rd POV
"Santa is NOT real Y/N. Whoever told you that LIED" a young rosy cheek Zach explained as the cold continued to bite at his hands.
"Santa is real, are you trying to say my mommy's a lier you...you...frogpole." an equally young Y/N exclaimed as her face began to turn red from frustration.
Now what you are seeing here is a little tussle between a 6-year-old Zachariah and a 5 1/2 year old Y/N over the matters of Christmas and Santa Claus, which has been going on for about an hour now as the two sit outside next to a tipped over snowman due to Zach's clumsiness.
Filled with so much frustration and embarrassment, Y/N pushed Zach, causing him to fall into the deep snow, but not enough to hurt him but enough to shake him to his core.
"Zachariah you are so mean to me, you are no longer my friend, don't talk to me ever again." The look in Zach's eyes screamed regret and fear from losing his only friend.
But before he could sputter out his apologies, Y/N had already removed the beaded bracelet, tears in her eyes, leaving it on top of the ruined snowman.
Leaving a sobbing and sputtering Zach in the snow on Christmas Eve.

Zach POV
Deciding to walk around the mall on December 24th was one of my worst ideas.
And here's why:
Literally, everybody and their mama are here shopping for last-minute gifts despite having 364 days to plan. prep. and prepare.
It's so hectic and busy in here, I've become sympathetic toward the workers.
So after hours (but was only 10 minutes) of walking, I make it to the quiet side of the mall, where the Sears used to be and settle myself onto one of the benches.
Thinking about all this Christmas rush only gives me a headache and terrible memories, ever since that one faithful Christmas Eve, my Christmas's have gone to crap.
The spirit no longer there despite all the amazing gifts I'd get each year afterward.
I've become the equivalent of the grinch this time of year, loathing all the festivities and decor, wanting nothing more than December 26th to come.
As I'm about to fall into a deep slumber, I hear a scream resonate in one of the stores, my instincts lead me to jump up from my seat and head to said store...Yankee Candle.
As I walked into the store, the first thing I noticed was the overbearing smell of Christmas themed candles and a big burly man's grip on one of the lady store assistants.
"You good for nothing teens having no respect for your elders, always got something smart to say." Surrounding them was a bunch of broken candle jars as the worker stood trying to wrench the man's hand off her wrist.
"Sir, I assure you we can have everything sorted out- OUCH!! What the hell man let go."
Not bearing to stand and watch this go down like the rest of the people in the store, I walk up to the man and tap his shoulder.
"Now sir I understand your frustration on such a bustling day, but what good would it be if your gift receiver has to find you in jail for having harassed and abused a young store worker, and destroying store property and last I checked, Yankee Candles aren't cheap."
