"Creativity never told us his name." Virgil admitted, since it was obvious no one else would say it.
"I imagine..." Logan started, pausing to consider if he should even say it. "He only told Lowen..."
"Who's Lowen?" Thomas asked.
The other's shared a sad glance, and Thomas could swear he saw tears dripping down Roman's cheeks.
"Lowen used-does," Virgil caught himself. Roman was already distraught enough. "Represent love."
"But wouldn't-"
"Love is a big thing, kiddo." Patton interrupted, looking up to Thomas. "I could, probably, have taken it on myself, but with Lowen... my job was so much easier. He took matters of love, I took everything else... It's been a lot harder since he... left..." Patton trailed, his voice nearly silent at the end as he looked over to Roman, who was now shaking, tears very clearly dripping down his face, even hidden behind his hair.
"But- why would he leave? Clearly he was very important, and cared for. Right?" Thomas asked, confused.
"He couldn't stand the split." Roman's broken whisper sent the group into shock.
"I'm not the man he fell in love with. Neither is Remus. No matter how hard we tried, we just weren't him... And Lowen knew that... And he knew that it wasn't fair to us to miss him so much... So he left. You should've seen him." Roman's bitter laugh froze the air.
"He was shattered." Roman finally looked up a little.
If Thomas wasn't feeling so broken he would've jumped, asked questions, but instead he didn't. He just stood there and stared as a person materialized in the middle of the group.
He looked like Thomas, as they all did, but his hair was bubblegum pink with bright red highlights. His clothes had shades of red, pink, and white, his hair had all sorts of clips, arms and legs covered in bright colored bandages with cartoon characters and Disney princesses... and he was smiling brightly.
Then suddenly he changed.
Everything got duller, his smile was no longer there, then a sound like shattering glass filled the air and he was covered in spiderweb fractures, cracks and chips littered his body... he was truly broken.
"He used to cover it up with bandages so he wouldn't worry anyone..." Roman explained softly. "But he could never quite cover everything..."
"B-but how-? I don't understand..."
"He was your heart. Thomas. So he broke with it." Virgil explained.
Thomas turned his eyes to Patton now.
"When he left I was left with everything... I took his place. It was never the other way around," Patton's voice sounded strained, broken. He was hurting, he'd lost his best friend.
"But... where'd he go?" Thomas looked around at everyone, desperately trying to find an answer, but there was none, as they all turned their eyes to Roman, who was fiddling with a heart shaped locket.
"Guys?"
"Where...?"A/N
I'm tired, and my mind suddenly went 'here have some angst' so this was born.
Lowen is a character I created a while back, like when I first entered the Sanders Sides fandom, and now as the canon story is expanding, so is his
Anyway, welcome to this book
Prepare for whatever I make
(And I know this doesn't really have a start, but just roll with it please. I had an idea and writing it down was more important than writing what leads up to it so I have officially decided that nothing lead up to it, same with the fact that Creativity probably split at a young age... that doesn't matter)
I also don't have a good title so+ I'm trying out something new with this book
Sometimes there are lines, or scenes, or details that I like but aren't important, or just don't fit (I'm still working on not just awkwardly forcing them in but I'm doing better I swear) so I'm making a deleted scenes type thing, and I'll just toss those in there
Anyway, welcome to the cringe bin (honestly though, we all cringe so if you judge me you're a hypocrite, just like everyone)
I'm gonna try to sleep now
