Brother vs Sister, Kai vs Nya

The ninja stood, watching as the Volcanicai slowly surrounded them. Cole narrowed his eyes as the first one moved to strike. He swung kicked back, doubling back as he came to aid Zane.

"I calculate that we won't hold out much longer against these odds." Zane said, freezing a group of Volcanicai in ice.

Nya looked up, her eyes falling upon Kai as he moved away. "We will is we have Kai at our side."She said, rushing forward as she cleared a path towards Kai.

Kai turned to face Nya and smirked. "Hello sister." He greeted, reaching for his two katana.

Nya narrowed her gaze and stood ready with the Sword of Fire in both hands. "Return to us Kai. To me." She said.

Her words fell upon deaf ears as Kai charged forward with a battle cry. She moved to the side, avoiding the first katana with ease before she flipped over another one. "Stop this meaningless fight." She pleaded.

Kai shook his head and raced forward, he moved with grace. He brought his katana down, forcing Nya to hold the Sword of Fire up, blocking both katana. "You think I want to return? That I want to work with those who left me to die in this very volcano?" He hissed, pushing Nya back. "I found a new family. One that cares about me. One that won't leave me behind. A family that I fit in." He added.

Nya blinked as she backed up against the warm stone of the volcano, her eyes looked at Kai's. Silently pleading for him to return to her. "Kai..." She whispered lightly, tears forming in her eyes. "Who are you?" She asked.

Kai ignored her pleas and slowly turned to face Jay, a grin was quick to form as he walked forward. "You made her weak." He said.

Jay panicked, he was confused by what he meant. "What... what do you mean?" He asked, his voice giving his terror away clearly. He watched the grin deepen upon his friends lips, the scars that covered his face terrified him.

"She was strong before you came. She would've held her own against me, but you made her weak." Kai snarled, placing his hand gently upon the cage. "And because of it, I'm going to make her forget you ever existed." He finished, pushing the cage forward.

Nya widen her eyes at the sight and raced forward. "DON"T!" She yelled, only to hear a chuckle from Kai.

"Why not, don't you want to be strong again?" Kai asked, turning his so that he could look over his shoulder.

Nya came to a stop. "This isn't you Kai." She said sadly, watching as Kai continued to push the cage forward. "Don't do this." She added.

Kai chuckled and pushed the cage further before he stopped. "I wonder, how would it feel if I were to make him my personal servant instead, and then force you to watch as I treat him like dirt." He wondered aloud.

Nya rolled her fists and ran forward. "YOU MONSTER!" She yelled.

Kai laughed. "Restrain her." He ordered as five Volcanicai held Nya down.

Nya struggled to get free, she could feel the burning touch of the Volcanicai upon her skin. She watched as Kai pushed Jay off the edge. "NO!" She yelled, eyes wide as her heart shattered. She closed her eyes and felt Kai stare at her.

She could feel so many things, but above them all was anger and hatred for her brother. He was no longer the Kai she knew. He was someone else, someone entirely different. A heartless machine who had no love for others except himself. She felt something new inside her, her heart raced up as she felt the water flow throughout her. She felt like something had awoken. She knew who she was. And why everything had happened as it had.

She smirked and opened her eyes, the pale blue pupils had become brighter, they were almost glowing as she slowly felt the water gather in her hands. She let it out, her anger, grief, all her emotions at once.

Kai watched as Nya knocked the five Volcanicai to side with ease. He noticed the look in her eyes. Rage, anger, determination, sadness. But knowing and understanding. He widened his eyes in realisation. She had found her true potential.

Nya surged forward, she rammed her body into Kai's, slamming across the chamber and into the opposite wall.

Kai clenched his teeth in pain and glanced up to see Nya moving forward. He held the only katana he had left tightly and slowly walked forward. he quickly charged forward, bringing his katana up only to be forced back by Nya.

Nya watched as Kai struggled to get off the wall. She came to a stop and kicked his katana away from him. "You killed him." She spat out, punching Kai in the face. "You took him away without remorse or mercy." She kicked him in the chest. "You hurt my friends." She gave him an uppercut. "And worst of all, you hurt our parents." She finished, bringing her foot around and kicking Kai to the ground.

Kai coughed up some blood and spat out a tooth as he glanced up. He could feel the blood running down his face from his nose. He noticed someone walking over from behind Nya, he widen his eyes in shock. "NO!" He yelled.

Nya turned to see Jay standing, his gi was cut and he had blood from cuts. She ran forward, bringing him into a tight hug. "I thought I lost you." She said, tears falling form her eyes.

Jay hugged back tightly, gently rubbing Nya's back. "It's ok Nya. I'm here still." He soothed.

The Volcanicai slowly left. Vedrik slithered to hover above Kai and smirked. "So much for the fearsome Dark Samurai." He hissed, pointing his spear like staff at Kai's head. "Now you shall die." He added.

Dark Fury leapt down, kicking Vedrik to the side and leaning down over Kai. "It's ok love, I've got you." She said, putting Kai over her shoulder, she turned to face The Ninja and with speed, she threw a pellet down, smoke covered their escape.

The Ninja gathered as they explained what they had discovered to Wu and the others.

Nya sat off to the side, tending to the injuries Jay had suffered. "That should be better in a few weeks." She said as she finished tending to the last wound.

"And, Dark Samurai, he.. he was Kai." Cole finished explaining.

Wu stroked his beard. "Did you capture him?" He asked.

Zane shook his head. "Dark Fury grabbed him and escaped. As much as we know, the two are still at large." He answered.

Garmadon sighed. "Until the Serpentine have been defeated, we cannot rest. With the four fang blades now in their possession, they are able to unleash The Great Devourer." He said.

"And Vedrik somehow managed to slither away." Lloyd chirped in.

"No rest for The Ninja." Nya said, holding Jay's hand tightly as they looked at the monitor before them all. Ready for their next adventure.
