Alexis' POV
I was hoping I wasn't hearing right. "Jonnie said what now?" I asked.
"After Romeo is going on tour," said Jonnie.
"That's what I thought you said," I sighed. "Tour. Wow." I forced a smile to Blake. "Kinda a big deal, huh?"
"Yeah," said Blake. "It is."
"I think I need some air," I said. I walked outside trying to keep my tears from falling. The thought of my crush being on the road away from me. I felt a pair of arms go around me and I knew instantly they were Blake's. I couldn't hold my tears back any longer. I turned around and hugged Blake, crying into his chest. "Why does all of this happen to me?"
"Alexis, I thought that you'd be happy," said Blake.
"I am happy," I said as Blake wiped my tears.
"Those words go on said too many times," said Blake. He loosed me straight in the eyes. "Something tells me those aren't happy tears."
Blake knew me too well. "They aren't," I said.
"What's wrong?" asked Blake.
"My best friend is going on tour and leaving me here," I said. My own words hit my heart like a train colliding with another. I do love Blake but not as a friend. I've hid my emotions to not jeopardize our friendship. "What am I going to do without you?"
"Why don't you come on tour with us?" asked Blake.
"Yes," I instantly agreed. Partly because I would miss him. We walked back inside and Blake had his arm around me. "Sorry about what happened earlier guys."
"It's okay," said Jayk. "Are you coming with?"
"Yeah," I said smiling.
"Alexis, can I tell you something?" asked Jayk. "Come here."
"Okay," I said. I followed Jayk to the other side of the room. "What's up?"
"Blake invited you to join us because one, he would miss you and two, because he has a crush on you," said Jayk. "He felt that if he invited you to join us, he might woo you. Why won't you just tell him how you feel?"
"Jayk, words are just words," I said. "I want to hear it from himself and he will tell me when he's ready."
"Okay," said Jayk.
"Alexis," said Drew.
"Yeah," I said walking over to him.
"Play this game with me," said Drew.
"Okay," I said. We started playing Tap Tap Revolution on his phone. Everyone left but Drew, Blake and I. My phone started ringing. I looked at it. "Sorry I have to get this."
Blake's POV
"Alright," I said as she grabbed her phone and walked out of the room. "I'm glad she's going on tour with us."
"Alexis is a great girl," said Drew. "I think I may be falling for her."
"You guys dated," I said. "That's history."
"When we didn't have a connection," said Drew. "She's just amazing. I never thought I'd feel this way."
I realize that Drew is falling for Alexis. "Great. Now I have someone to compete with," I said, harshly.
"What?" asked Drew.
"I like Alexis, okay? I have for years," I said. "Now I have a pretty boy, who happens to be my best friend, falling for her too." Alexis walked in. "Hey, Alexis. Let me teach you the drums." I pulled her to the drum set. "Do you know how to play?"
"When I was young I played for three years," said Alexis. Drew turned on the radio. He grabbed Alexis and started dancing around with her like an idiot. "Is something wrong with you?" Grease came on. Drew began moving around and snapping his fingers. I was getting angry. I pushed Drew and started snapping too. Alexis laughed as her phone rang. "Oh, I have to get this." She left.
"Why are you trying to make a move?" I asked as Drew turned off the radio. "You had your chance. Now it's may turn."
"You're jusy ENVIOUS that Alexis might have the slightest intrest in me," said Drew.
"Am not!" I yelled. Drew threw a punch at me and I returned it. Alexis ran in between us. "Ugh."
"What's going on?" asked Alexis.
"I'm in love with you, Alexis. You're my best friend and I love you," I said. "I've loved you for a long time but I've been scared to tell you." I looked at Alexis. "And now Drew likes you too and we're fighting over you."
"And I was winning," Drew interrupted.
"Shut up," I said turning back to Alexis. "Well, say something." She looked at Drew then back at me. She kissed me and then retracted. "That wasn't what I planned to happen."
"Blake, I've has a crush on you for the longest time and I didn't want to wreck the friendship," said Alexis. "Now I know you feel the same way. I guess we can say our relationship starts today." She smiled and I nodded. She looked at Drew. "Drew, you listen to me. We were a thing and I used to be yours but all that is over now. You're just going to have to accept that I'm with Blake."
"You're right," said Drew relaxing.
Britt, TC, Jayk, and Devin walked in. "Now that everyone's back, Britt and I have a song you guys should cover," said Alexis. She grabbed a bag from the supply closet shaped like a guitar. She got the guitar out and strapped it on her. "It's called Hey Juliet."
Britt got a keyboard out of the closet. "I didn't know you play guitar," I said.
"Like I said, this is my quiet place," said Alexis.
"Well, I should come with you to your quiet place more often," I said. She smiled at me. "Let's hear what you got."
