Do you ever wonder if you will wake up and survive the day.
I woke up two hours ago, now I am laying down staring at the ceiling with my hands behind my head.
I get up from my bed and head to the bathroom to take a shower, and get ready for the day.
"Hija." My mom yells from downstairs
" Ya voy ma." I reply while walking out of my bedroom and heading for the stairs.
"Tengo que ir a trabajar." She says while putting coffee in her traveling mug.
" Don't worry mom, one of these days you won't have to work again in your life de lo prometo." I say while putting my arm around her shoulder.
" Everyone has their dream baby that's what I like about you even if it doesn't come true anyway I gotta go and don't be late for school again Carmen." She said while kissing my cheek and heading for the door.
My older and only brother got shot didn't make it and my dad followed 1 year after him because of cancer , so ya my family is one big sad story but I carry them in my heart everyday.
But what my mom doesn't know is that my dad made me promise to take care of her that was his final wish on his death bed and I was 15 at the time but I understood what he meant.
Anyway, now I am standing in the kitchen getting coffee with no sugar or milk.
I took a sip while my phone buzz in my backpocket of my jean.
I take it out to see who it is that's calling me to find that it is Lee.
" Lee." I answer while finishing my coffee, putting the mug in the sink and heading for the door.
" Rosie where the fuck are you." He says through the phone.
" Heading out now, why." I ask while locking the door and walking to my car.
" Because the principal is looking for you again." He said
" On my way, wait for me in the front door." I said and hang up.
I unlock my car door , get in and put the key in the ignition turn it to hear the engine roar to life.
Driving out of the driveway and heading for the school listen to The king of g-funk.
Driving through the school parking lot and parking next to Nico's car while getting out of my car, my phone chime in my pocket with a text from Crisy
Crisy - When can I can see you again I had fun last night♥️
I text back when I hear my name being yelled from across the lot and I turn around to find out who it is.
"Jesus fucking christ." I mumble
" What can I do for you Principal Jackson."I ask
When I walked across the parking lot to stand in front of him.
Principal Jackson and I have a complicated friendship I have been suspended more then I can remember but my grades I are great.
He looks at me mad and says.
" Why did you have to start a food fight in the cafeteria last week." He says
" Wait a minute I didn't start any food fight and why are you only asking me ,why don't you ask your other students but wait if you thought it was me , you would've already suspended me or expelled but you aren't , you are only making assumptions."I said while walking away and heading for the front doors of the school.
" Lee."I yell in his ear when he didn't see me standing right next to him.
" Wtf Rosie , don't keep doing that shit."He says while putting a hand over his chest where his heart is
" Well pay more attention to your surroundings and I wouldn't have to."I said while laughing
" Whatever let's go." He says while opening the door and heading inside.
"Fine." I said while walking behind him.
So that's how my day went, just going to classes and talking to Lee until the final bell rung to mark that school is finally over for the day.
I take my phone out of my pocket to turn it back on to see that I have 3 miss calls from Ma
While heading for the front doors of the school I dial her number.
It rings 2 times until she picks up
"Ma you called."I ask while heading for my car
" I won't be home tonight I gotta work a double shift at the hospital."She says with a tired voice , she always been the type of women to not show that things are weighting on her shoulders
" It's fine , did you eat anything today."I ask while getting in my car
" No but don't worry I'll get something from the cafeteria." She says when I hear someone in the background
'Anyway I gotta go baby , see you in the morning." She says and hangs up
I made up my mind when I was driving out of the parking lot of the school and decided to pick something up for my mom to eat.
So while driving to the hospital my phone buzz
