I hopped off of Paul's bike (yeah, Paul) as we got to the boardwalk. Of course Marko kept trying to talk to me but I definitely was not in the mood. As I got off the bike, Paul pulled me to him by the waist, causing me to cock a brow.

"Just making sure you don't go flying off again." He teased.

"So what are we doing here?" I ask as Star leaves.

"Waiting." David answered.

"For?"

"Damn, you ask a lot of questions." Paul muttered.

"Shut up Paul." I elbowed him in the side, making him let go of me.

"I told you, we will have a newcomer. We're just waiting for Star to retrieve him." David shrugged.

Nodding, I pull out my smokes and light one, taking a long drag to calm my nerves. Paul grabs one as well. I'm actually concerned about the poor guy that they're tricking.

"Oh, and remember, if you ruin anything tonight--" David began.

"You'll kill me." I finished emotionlessly.

But to be honest, if I can't reverse this, I'd much rather be dead. I can't live without Maria, or not being able to go out in the sun.

"Oooh, there they are." David said, looking over at Star who was going to hop onto the bike of that guy that was staring at Star dancing that night.

I hopped back onto Paul's bike and we all ride over to the two.

"Where you going?" David asks, looking amused.

"For a ride." Star answered shortly.

"With him?"

No shit sherlock.

"Yeah." She says, careful not to look David in the eye.

David guns his engine, then lets it rev back down, trying to be intimidating I guess.

"I'm David," He says to Michael, "and this is Paul, Dylan, Dwayne, and Marko."

"Hi... I'm Laddie." Laddie speaks up, after being passed over.

"This is Michael." Star introduces him, and we all look at each other silently.

"So..." I said, breaking the awkward silence.

"We still going?" Michael asked Star.

"C'mon, Star. Climb on." David ordered Star, who looked at Michael apologetically before getting on behind David.

Paul, Dwayne and Marko begin to laugh at Michael's misfortune and I looked at him sorrowfully.

"Know where Hudson's Bluff is? Overlooking the point?" David asks Michael.

David again guns his engine and Michael gets his meaning this time.

"I can't beat your bike." Michael sighed, tired of being embarrassed.

"You don't have to beat me, Michael." David pauses, "Just try to keep up."

We all speed up, and I hold onto Paul tighter as the motorcycles bounce down the steps and hit the beach.Paul howls as he picks up speed, spraying sand into the air. Knowing that I was a now a half vampire and don't have to worry too much about getting hurt, I let loose and whooped with the guys. Marko, Dwayne and Paul look at with me, smiling.

Michael on the other hand looked worried and was trying his hardest to keep up with us. We head for the pier at full speed. Dodging the thick wooden pilings. Michael slows down, however the guys speed up.

"Hold on tight babe!" Paul yelled and I did as I was told.

Star looks back from her position behind David and gives Michael a smile and I turn to see that he has still caught up with us. David and Michael are now side-by-side. Star reaches out her hand toward Michael and he reaches out his. Their hands touch for a moment and then David turns to Michael, obviously jealous.

"Now we race!!" David smiles and speeds ahead with Michael at his tail.

David streaks across the flat surface of the bluff and Michael is not far behind. Suddenly, Michael and David come to a stop at the end of the cliff.

"Whatcha doin' huh?!" Michael yelled, obviously pissed that no one warned him that they were headed towards the cliff.

Michael explodes and punches David and we silently wait for David to kick Michael's ass. But to everyone's surprise, David smiles charmingly.

"How far you willing to go, Michael?" He asks.
