Chris pov

I stood there after Martin stormed out "he's right if he found Lyn like that more then likely she wouldn't go home.. " I grabbed my gear and went after Martin "MARTIN WAIT UP IM COMING WITH YOU" I yelled running to catch up with my older brother "you were right idk what I was thinking " I panted while he rubbed my back "it's ok I'm sorry I snapped its just... I have a feeling like her life was completely ruined by something and I wanna take care of her like I take care of you.. " Martin sighed as we walked

But I could tell martin really did care about her no doubt about it "she got upset when Aviva asked about her creature power suit so maybe something happened to her family or something"i thought out loud but when I looked at Martin he took off in a run and I followed staying hot on his heels

"get low" Martin whispered so I got an my knees in the snow as Martin peered though the bushes" what is it.. " I asked trying to see "it's hint the little fox puppy I named when I found Lyn but there's another fox pup with him but... " he trailed off but I was too curious to know so I looked through the bushes and seen two fox pups one was white and the other.... Blue

Lyn pov

I didn't know what to do so I just played with the Fox pup until the bushes started to move and my friend ran to see what it was "wait come back it might be a trap" I yelled running after him but he was too fast he jumped through the bush and I heard a loud "oof " but I couldn't stop I crashed into something

Apparently I landed on something alive? Cause I felt myself go up and down like something breathing that's when I opened my eyes to see green clothing and I realise I was on Chris is chest "o-oh hi there Chris" I laughed nervously but he only chuckled in response I looked over to see Martin and my fox friend on his head

"hi Martin " I smiled but soon felt something wrapped around me and I was squished between something I heard a loud heartbeat then looked up to see Martin face "please don't scare me like that I got worried about you Lyn" I choked up he sounded just like daddy "w-why... Did they have to go... " I whimpered "why did who have to go Lyn" Chris asked getting up and sitting beside Martin while Martin let go of his grip around me slightly "mommy a-and daddy... " I didn't get a answer I just cried "why did uncle Jeff killed them... Why did he try to kill a ten year old girl " I cried depressed and mad but

I felt martin grip tighten "I'm so sorry Lyn what happened to you wasn't right but both me and Chris promised to never let you go through trauma like that again " he kissed the top of my head and I felt Chris join the hug soon after Chris let go both Martin and Chris got up but Martin kept me in his arms and I pressed my head up against his chest.

Martin pov

She's been through some rough stuff but I won't let her go through that again I gripped her tight in my arms and started heading back to HQ with Chris I felt Lyn press her head against my chest which I thought was cute she was even cuter in her fox suit but she didn't have a family anymore she needs someone to raise her she's only 10

"Martin.. " she whispered looking up at me "yes Lyn" I looked down into her blueish green eyes "can I ask you something privately " I looked at Chris and he nodded and walk ahead while me and lyn stayed back "yes Lyn what is it" I looked back at her "who's going to raise me know since my parents are dead... " she teared up "don't worry Lyn I'll teach you everything I know and I'll protect you"
