The Happening

"What is this?" Phoenix said to Lucas, his best friend, as they ran outside.

"It's the happening," Lucas said with a hesitant voice.

"I thought the happening was just a myth!" Phoenix exclaimed.

It's quite real, my friend, and we are witnessing it."

A loud explosion sounded behind them and the boys both jumped. They turned around expecting a horrible sight, sadly, they found worse than what they had foreseen in their heads. A plane wing was lodged into the roof of a house.

"We need to go," Lucas stated while running for his truck.

Phoenix walked over to the truck stumbling in fear.

"How many are there going to be?" asked Phoenix.

"Let's not stick around to find out," Lucas said as he floored the gas pedal of the truck.
