Phoenix always thought he knew himself well, but after Lucas was gone he felt like he didn't know himself at all. "Why am I the hero?" Phoenix asked himself. He pondered this question for thirty minutes sitting by the truck, still stationary at the place of his friends fatal crash.

Phoenix got up and looked in the sky only to see a cloud of smoke and fire. He climbed over the tree that had fallen in front of Lucas' truck and what he saw made his body cringe.

Men in uniforms of solid black awaited him beyond the tree. Phoenix stood there not knowing what to do, being the shy and afraid person he is. The men surrounded him and pointed their guns at him. One man stood still, then he asked his troops, "Ready?" They cocked their guns. "Fire!" Phoenix closed his eyes not wanting to see the end. after 10 second of his eyes being closed he took a peek to find the men surrounding him, dead on the ground, and the man who once stood tall and ordered his troops to fire was now being held at gunpoint by a girl in a blue bandana.

"My name Camille!" she exclaimed proudly.

"I'm Phoenix," Phoenix said with not half as much enthusiasm.

"Nice to meet you Phoenix"

Being baffled by the beauty of Camille, Phoenix just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. She had long, silk, brown hair and beautiful green eyes that sparkled when the sun hit her face. She was short and thin but had the muscle to overpower the man in the solid black suit.

"Follow me," she said giving Phoenix a wink; his face turned bright red. Phoenix followed her through the streets into a house that he had passed by many times. Two boys that looked to be Phoenix' age turned around from their computers and stared at him.

"He's okay guys, he's with me," stated Camille.

"Who's the guy in the suit?" asked one of the boys.

"He's one of the broken."

They all stood silent looking at him.

"I'm going to question him," said Camille. She took the man in to the back room and shut the door.

"Justin," said one of the boys holding his hand out; Phoenix shook it.

"Blade," the other one followed. "they call me blade because, well, I like to use blades," he said with an evil smirk.

"Well what's your name?" Justin asked.

"Phoenix."

"Nice to meet you Phoenix," both boys stated in unison.

The door flung open and Camille stood in the doorway with a disturbed look on her face.

"We need to use the emulator, because this isn't going to be pretty," she stated with a terribly afraid tone to her voice.
