"So they're brother and sister!" Cyrus exclaimed. Andi and Buffy looked at each other and nodded slowly in agreement.
It was the next day and the three of them were currently at The Spoon discussing Cyrus' night.
"So that was the most interesting part of your date night?" Buffy looked back at Cyrus.
"Well that and TJ's glasses..." Cyrus trailed off, turning a slight blush at the thought of TJ wearing his glasses.
"Hmm. I never thought I'd see the day where he wouldn't douse his hair in product." Buffy muttered, causing Cyrus to pout. "I mean he does use a lot of gel." she continued.
Before Cyrus could defend his boyfriend, Amber came over to their table and sat beside Cyrus.
"Kippen." Buffy stated, coming off harsher than intended.
"Never called me that before." Amber was taken back by the bitterness in her tone.
"No, no, no. She wasn't trying to be mean." Andi quickly replied.
"Hm." Amber paused. "Anyways, Teej and I are going to Adrenaline City tomorrow. You guys trying to come?" she offered, mainly looking between Cyrus and Andi.
"I'm down to go." Buffy responded first, throwing a quick smirk in Amber's direction.
"Sure I'll-" Andi was interrupted by the ringing of the bell on the door of the restaurant. In walked Jonah, who immediately saw the group.
"Hey guys what's up?" Jonah smiled.
"Oh, well Amber was just-" Amber quickly threw her hand over Cyrus' mouth, making a quiet slapping noise. Cyrus turned red and immediately removed her hand from his face.
"Ow!" he said while rubbing the corners of his mouth.
"What was Amber doing?" Jonah asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Can we not tell him?" Andi looked over at Amber.
"Tell me what?" Jonah was growing more impatient.
"Ugh." Amber groaned. "I was inviting them to come to Adrenaline City tomorrow with me and TJ." Amber sighed.
"And let me guess, you don't want me coming. Amber, I thought we were past the whole breakup thing?" Jonah sighed.
"We are it's just... the last time we went to Adrenaline City together..." Amber took a deep breath. "we began dating later that week." she sighed.
"Oh." Jonah was silent afterwards.
"Jonah you should come tomorrow. It'll be fun." Cyrus spoke up.
"And now that you two are at a mutual understanding, maybe you both won't let history repeat itself." Buffy added. Amber and Jonah both looked at each other.
"You can come Jonah." Amber put on a slight smile.
"You sure?" Jonah asked quietly.
"I'm sure Jonah." Amber smiled wider this time. This caused Jonah to smile his usual smile. Amber then glanced down at her phone.
"Oh, breaks over, see you guys tomorrow I guess." Amber said, before shooting out of the booth, letting Jonah take her seat.
"Well that was awkward." Buffy deadpanned. Everyone else was silent.
"So you and TJ huh?" Jonah looked over at Cyrus.
"Yeah... glad we're actually talking about it now." Cyrus said. Jonah furrowed his brows, acting like he needed further clarification.
"Yesterday? When TJ hugged me? You wouldn't even look at me." Cyrus was beginning to get worked up. Jonah still was pretending that he had no clue what he was referring to.
"Maybe that was because of the comment you made about his relationship advice." Andi chimed in.
"Oh. Yeah about that, sorry..." Cyrus sighed.
"Oh yeah... don't worry about it. Water through the bridge." Jonah smiled.
"Jonah, it's water under the bridge." Buffy corrected.
"Oh. Whatever, it's fine Cyrus." Jonah said, patting Cyrus on the back. Cyrus smiled back at him.
"Anyways." Andi butted in again.
"Oh yeah, yes, me and TJ." Cyrus beamed. "Quick question, why were you there yesterday?" Cyrus furrowed his brows, still looking at Jonah.
"Actually, TJ was helping me with basketball." Jonah said.
"Basketball?" Buffy scoffed, picking up a Baby Tater.
"Yeah, I'm going to try out for the freshman team next school year, and TJ knows the coach. We were just running through some of drills. Nothing major." Jonah explained.
"Hmm... ultimate player turned basket-baller. Didn't see that one coming." Cyrus joked, causing Andi to let out a giggle.
"Actually, after watching you play," Jonah pointed at Buffy. "I thought it would be fun." Buffy smiled at the fact she was the inspiration for his decision.
"Thought so." Buffy said matter of factly.
"Hey Cyrus, did you guys do anything after that movie?" Andi asked. Cyrus thought for a second before realizing what she was referring to.
"Actually I fell asleep during the movie, seeing TJ like that was just emotionally draining." Cyrus giggled.
"Seeing TJ like what?" Jonah asked. Cyrus immediately showed him his lock screen, which was the picture of TJ with his fluffy, ruffled hair, and sporting his glasses.
"Woah." was all Jonah said when he saw TJ's new appearance.
"Yeah I know right." Cyrus smirked.
"Well, he's coming tomorrow, right?" Andi asked.
"Yeah..." Cyrus said, still staring at his photo of TJ.
"To Adrenaline City." Buffy continued.
"Which is the same place you threw up in your shoe at when we did that double-date thing back in seventh grade." Jonah finished. It took a minute for Cyrus to see where they were headed with this. Then it hit him all at once, the waking realization that he'd probably embarrass himself again in front of TJ.
"Fuck, and I'm all out of motion sickness patches." Cyrus muttered, facepalming himself.
