"Isn't this formal wear?" you called out to Kerrick from the bathroom. The male sighed, fixing his hair in the mirror.

"Nope, not all dresses are worn on formal occasions." You hummed in response and put it on, he was right. It was more of a casual dress which someone might wear to a party, he knew what he was doing.

"And are heels necessary?"

"Yes, they are, hun. Stop questioning it and put it on." You did as he asked and slid the shoes on, strapping them to your feet so they would stay on.

"Do they look alright?" Kerrick asked, moving away from the mirror and resting his ear against the door to listen to you.

"It's looks pretty good," you admitted, giving yourself a little spin. Opening the door, Kerrick gasped and rushed to your side, taking your hands in his own larger ones.

"You look gorgeous," he gushed, turning you around so he could get a better view of the whole thing. He did this with every outfit he made for you. Sometimes he go out and buy the clothes but a majority of the time he would buy material and sew them himself.

"Did you make this one?" you asked, admiring the soft material between your fingers. He nodded, pulling you to face him so he could inspect your face.

"But we aren't finished yet, we still have to do your make up." You heaved a sigh and left the bathroom, Kerrick pulling out all of his necessities out of his bag. He was always excited to do this, especially to you. There was nothing else that made him happier than being able to dress you up like a doll in the clothing he made especially for you. It's not that you minded, you were very lucky to have found Kerrick. You had found him wandering around the streets while you investigating a gang which was related to many drug crimes in his area. He was bloody and beaten, quietly crying as he limped home. You had stopped him, bought him something to eat and listened to his story. There you learnt about his passion and since you were in need of someone talented in that field, you gave him the chance to show you what he had. You had no regrets in your choice, he was amazing and you acknowledged his talent and strength.

"And we're done," Kerrick announced, pulling you to your feet and over to the mirror he had been looking in earlier. He had done a good job, giving you a look which matched the character you had planned. It was more of a natural look and it fit the image of Light's perfect sister.

Someone who was beautiful without make up and yet used only a little due to being embarrassed about her appearance. She's cute and dorky, clumsy at times but it's lovable. When she laughs she occasionally snorts and when she sneezes, it's quiet like a kittens. Even though she's smart and has graduated from university already, she's a bit of an airhead and can find difficulty in remembering difficult instructions.

That was what you had planned, someone positive and happy. Always looking on the bright side of life and brightening up the room when they enter. A contagious smile which everyone one adores.

You were looking forward to playing this new character but felt a little uneasy about something. You were supposed to play yourself, a better, more likable version. It would be a (Y/n) Yagami which people actually liked, the kind of person people would greet with a smile when they saw them. Not how you usually were greeted in not only highschool but university and during your stay in military. Where ever you went, people would look down on you so you wanted to test out how people would like you now. It was the same face but a different person, would they be nice or rude like usual?

You knew the answer already, the real (Y/n) was reserved and rarely showed any emotion. She analyzed others actions and tried to read them, some finding it creepy and becoming uncomfortable under her gaze. While this new improved (Y/n) would make people smile and feel happy, the two being complete opposites.

"Do you think I'm likable?" you asked, staring at yourself in the mirror. Kerrick, who was cleaning his brushes, froze for a second before rushing over and wrapping you in a hug.

"Why would you ask that? Of course you're likable, you know that people are so nasty and judgemental," he tried to assure you. Humming, you brushed your fingers through your hair and smiled lightly, trying to get into character. You teeth became visible behind your lips as you forced a smile, one which looked very real but wasn't.

"Why do you ask?" Kerrick asked, watching you carefully. You shrugged your shoulder as you got up out of your chair and brushed off your clothing.

"It doesn't matter, I'll see you later, okay?" You turned and met his gaze, immediately noticing the worry in his eyes.

"Are you sure you're alright?" he pressed, placing his hands on your shoulders. You nodded quickly, wanting to get out of this situation as fast as you could. But you just looked like a child who badly wanted something and that was very easy to read, especially for Kerrick who knew you very well.

"For someone who studied psychology, you sure are obvious. I won't ask you now but you better come back later with an answer to what's up, got it?" You turned your face away from his and nodded, not wanting him to see your expression. Your lips pressed into a thin line out of frustration. Kerrick already knew that it annoyed you but he worried a lot. You were both very different, even though Kerrick had been though his own trauma he never had lost his sense of emotion or care for others. While you struggled with it, growing up cold and lifeless even to those you considered close.

You two were so similar yet so different and you thought that was the reason why you were such good friends. You had each others back and even though he never studied psychology, he was the only one who could read you like an open book.

So while you worked together he would point out your problems before you would even notice them yourself. You were thankful for that, Kerrick was a good friend.

In my eyes, Kerrick is an awesome friend and is the perfect companion for someone like (Y/n). He's so bright, cheerful and brings out the best in her, positive things that she doesn't even know or acknowledge. Kerrick is truly an angel <3
