Chapter 3- Summer Games

Shayne's POV

No matter how hard I tried to not think about her, I couldn't get the thought of kissing Courtney again out of my head. It was Friday when it happened, and I thought about her the entire weekend. For once, I wanted the weekend to be over and I wanted to get back to work.

Finally, Monday came around and we were leaving for Summer Games Apocalypse. The night before I packed and planned everything. I didn't sleep much Sunday night, I didn't exactly know if I was nervous for Summer Games or to see Courtney.

I got to the office at about 11 am, and saw everyone was loading stuff into the vans. "Hey Shayne!" Ian called to me from one of the vans.

"Hey, sorry am I running late?" I ask him with a slight smile.

"No not at all we're not leaving until 11:30-ish, you can go hangout inside with the squad until then."

I nod my head and start walking up to the squad office. My heart was pumping a bit harder than usual because I knew Courtney would be up there.

As soon as I get to the office everyone's talking excitedly and almost everyone from Smosh Games is there as well. "Hey Shayne!" Damien says and walks over to me.

"Hey what's up?" I ask while scanning the room for Courtney's blonde hair.

"Oh not much, we're all pretty excited for Summer Games, we're also discussing what teams we're on." Damien replies as we walk towards the others.

"Oh nice who's on the teams?"

I see Courtney sitting on the couch with Olivia, and Keith.

"Well the green team, ToxiciTea, is Olivia, Ian, Wes, Joven, Mari, and You."

I wished Courtney was on my team, but I was okay with my teammates. I looked over at her just as Damien said who was on MushroomClout. (Courtney, Damien, Kimmy, Keith, Lasercorn, and Noah.)

"Oh okay" I say as Damien starts talking to Lasercorn about the "Streak."

I walk over to Courtney, Olivia and Noah and sit down.

"Hey Shayneee!" Olivia says loudly as she hugs me from the side. I smile and she starts talking about the teams again.

"I'm glad i'm on Shayne and Wes's team, we're gonna kick butt!" She shouts excitedly. "Yeahh!" I say in my Courtney Freaking Miller voice.

Suddenly Ian runs into the room and tells us it's time to leave. We all grab our stuff and head down to the vans.

Somehow, I end up walking with Keith and Courtney, and they talk about their team happily. In the van, I was sitting next to Courtney but decided to move to the front. I couldn't deal with being right next to her for almost 2 hours.

About 1.5 hours later we finally arrive at the hotel we'd be staying at. I walk over to a group of some games and squad members who are discussing their roommates.

We had to decide who we would be sharing a room with, and I was unsure of who to choose. I knew Olivia and Courtney would be rooming, Noah and Keith, and a few others I assumed would as well.
Finally I saw Damien and he made eye contact with me. I walked over and he asked if I'd room with him. I obviously said yes and we headed up with our luggage.

After settling into our room, we got a text that we needed to get ready so we could go film our first video, Punishment Zombie Shoot-out.

We drive another hour to the house we'd be filming at, and check it out. We all agreed it was okay, but we were all dying from the heat.
