A Thousand Years

Chapter I

(DJ's outfit/look)
DJ' POV

'It's been nearly three years since Garrett turned/saved me. We've been living in different places in London. I sold everything I owned, leaving the money for my younger brother. I'll miss him, but he doesn't need to know what I am and what I eat.'

"Shut up." Garrett's voice brought me back into reality. "I hated the first British Invasion, I hate the second one even more." Garrett held a man up by his throat against the wall, in the alley we were in.

"Even the Beatles?" A voice made Garrett and I snap our heads to the left, a dark haired man and blond haired woman stood hand in hand. "Really, Garrett?"

"Old habits die hard." Garrett then looked over at me. "Ain't the right, DJ?"

"Yup." Was all I said, as I leaned against the other wall, my arms crossed and right knee bent, with my foot on the wall.

"Carlisle needs you." Blondie said, her golden eyes never leaving my form. Garrett let the human go, he started crawling away, whimpering. I zoomed over to him, placing my foot on his back, making him stay.

"Sounds interesting, but first I better finish my meal." Garrett zoomed to where I held the struggling man, he nodded to me, I let my foot up and Garrett drank him dry.

"I'm Rosalie," the blondie said, looking at me, "this is Emmett, my husband."

"DJ." I said, shaking their hands.

"How long have you been turned?" Emmett asked.

"Three years." I stated, Garrett walking over to us and putting an arm around my shoulders.

"Shouldn't your heart have stopped, along with your blood freezing?" Rosalie questioned.

"She's a special case," Garrett said, "and her power is even more special." Before they could ask anymore questions, Garrett ran off, me following him, and Rosalie and Emmett following me.

Renesmee let her hand down from my cheek, I starred at Bella with amazement. She merely smiled and nodded, I stood up and looked down at Renesmee, her big brown eyes looking into my blood red ones.

"Your heart beats like mine, uneven." She said, I nodded and kneeled down again to her height.

"That's because like you, I'm special. The venom merely stopped all my other human habits, but spared my heart and blood. Just like I believe the Volturi will spare you and your family." I told her, she smiled at me.

"Do you think so?" Her innocence was adorable beyond what I've seen in other children.

"I know so, sweetheart." Renesmee then gave me a hug, I was a little shocked at first, but hugged her back, but gently.

Garrett and I walked out to where Bella, Edward, the Amazon vampires, Eleazar, Kate, Tanya, Carmen and Carlisle were.

"Oh, she's a shield alright." Kate said, grabbing Bella's hand. "That one should've but her on her ass." Kate's power was shocking others with electrical currents. I thought that was pretty cool, even cooler than my own power.

"Or your voltage has been exaggerated." Garrett mocked, I slapped him up side the head, making Edward laugh.

"Maybe it only works on the weak." Kate teases back, wiggling her fingers, challenging Garrett. Garrett reached his hand out, stepping towards Kate's palm.

"Garrett, I wouldn't." Carlisle said, Garrett merely smirked and pressed his finger to her palm. He was then shocked, which sent him to his knees, we all laughed.

"You, are an amazing woman." Garrett said to Kate, I felt a small pang of jealousy in my chest, but Garrett was more like father to me than anything else.

"What's your power, Jasmine?" Carmen asked me, I looked at her, a little shocked because only one person calls me by my real name.

"It's more of a physical power, like Benjamin's and Kate's. I don't really like to show it off." She nodded, understanding what I meant. I then walked back inside, Renesmee dragging me over to where she was playing with Jacob.
