*if I die young bury me in satin, lay me down on a bed of Roses, Sink me in the river at dawn, Send me away with the words of a love song*
Archie POV
We all stood by sweet water river; serpents and north siders alike all paying out respect to a loved one wether she was a friend, a daughter, a soul mate. I waited my turn to gaze apon her beauty one last time before the sun touched the night sky bringing forth a brand new day full of unknown experiences. I shuffled along the rocks closer and closer to her, I heard the small cries of those who bid her their final fair wells. Even my best friend Jughead Jones shed a tear as he held his girl friend close as sobs racked her small body. My throat tightened at the thought of how I would react to my last time seeing her, Would I hold it together? Would I break down worse then her friends who fell to the ground when their legs could no longer hold them up?. I was in deep thought before I realised I was being ushered forward for my turn, I shuffled stiffly along the rock once more until I reached the small canoe where her body laid, unmoving. I stood above her, drinking in her features from her soft Y/C/H that framed that beautiful face, her features are soft and still, making her look so much younger. I reached out my shaking hand to caress her face, my hands tremble as I finally reach her face. I pulled my hand back as soon as I felt her skin, it was cold; shockingly cold. My eyes left her face and drifted down her body to the emerald green satin dress that clung to her body. My hand brushed something soft and velvety, I looked down and finally noticed the roses that encompassed her frame. I felt a small smile break across my face, roses they were always her favourite. A hand landed on my shoulder "come one Archie, it's time. We have to respect her wishes" I turned to my left and saw FP with a tear sliding down his face. I stepped away from the canoe as the opening chords to "the shallow by lady Gaga And Bradley cooper" began to play. We watched as her body floated on the body of water, the rising sun touching the water and illuminating it. Stepping back further to allow Cheryl through, She too wore a satin dress in her signature color of red. She held a bow in one hand and an arrow in the other, she walked up to one of the many torches that lit up the shore line of sweet water river. She bowed her head towards the flames, a moment passes before she raises her head again. The flames showed us the glistening tear stained cheeks of a friend in mourning, she lifted the arrow to the flames to light the material wrapped around the arrow. She once again lifted the arrow to the bow, tears fell from her eyes as she let go of the tension in the bow. The arrow shot true and straight into the canoe where her body laid floating, flames engulfed her body; cries rang out all around me as people collapsed.
