New environment. New threats.

Just another day. Another supply run, another wave of Orks to fend off another Commissar to avoid and make sure to not piss off.

At this point driving the Chimera to the front and then back to the rear via supply lines was drop dead boring by now.  But the men need ammo to fire their guns to kill those dam Orks and food to fill their stomachs.

I'm writing this just to get it out of my head and off my chest, what is command thinking.
Taking me out of the trenches and away from my men and dumping me here in this sweat box of a vehicle?

I didn't watch my Corporals head exploded to be taken off the front were I cant even avenge a long time friend.  Instead I'm stuck here with a annoying loud commissar, a totally green private and the practically mute Markus.

The fact that Markus is a VOX operator puzzles me to this day, but it's not like our messages dont get through it's just if I hadn't heard him talking into the VOX I'd think he actually was mute.

Anyway hopefully command see's reason and puts me back with my squad soon, just my luck the only one alive and able to drive a transport had  been me.  Dam my luck.

I just wish something would spice this task up a bit, maybe some Orks or heretics I can gun down with the front turrets.  Yea that would be nice.

It's as if the God Emperor himself heard me and decided to answer my wish because suddenly the ground beneath our feet starts the rumble and shake.

The Commissar asks for a statis report, I quickly look over the Chimeras consoles and dials; a mix of blinking lights and panels displaying readings from the engine, fuel, temperature and hull integrity.

I report back saying their is nothing out of the ordinary and that there were no enemy's visible within line of sights.  He replays with a grunt and begins climbing up the ladder to the top hatch to check the surroundings in person.

Once he's out of sight Pvt Grey gets my attention by pointing at the frontal turrets display and ask "what in the warp is that!"

I lean in close and focus my eyes to the sky where a strange purple and red hole has appear as if someone had grabbed a chunk of the sky and torn it out.
