Cat For A Day

Merlin was practicing a new spell, this was around the time where King was walking in and was about to ask her what she wanted to eat, the spell hit King directly and merlin mumbled 'oh shit' quietly to herself. She walked over to check on King but she didn't see him, instead where was a cat hissing at her. The cat was white and brown with his sin mark on his ankle still.

"Sorry King." She said lifting him, he scratched her and jumped out off her grip jolting out of the door, his pillow slowly following him.

The cat hid under the stool where Ban was sitting and wouldn't let anyone come near him, well besides Ban of course.

"What's with the cat?" Ban asked confused.

"That's King." Merlin said pointing to the cat who raised its paw and swiped for her.

"He seems to be scared or mad." Gowther said.

"Why is he not attacking me?" Ban asked getting off the stool and kneeling down in front of the cat.

"That... I don't know. He'll be like this for a day or maybe more, I'm not sure yet." Ban reached over to pet the cat, King nervously leaned against his hand, Ban smiled and lifted the cat up with a smile, King got scared and meowed.

"This is adorable." Ban grinned.

"You really love animals don't you?" Meliodas asked.

"Hell yeah, who doesn't?"

"Uhh... Merlin could you atleast make him able to talk?" Diane asked, the bearly clothed girl nodded her head and casted another spell.

"Let me down, let me down!" The cat speaked not wanting to claw Ban.

"Nope."

"I'll bite you."

"It will heal." King hissed at him and clawed his hand. Ban smirked and held the cat close, letting him rest on is shoulder.

"Don't get used to it." King stretched.

"Don't you either." King gave up and sat on Ban's shoulder with his tail swaying from side to side.

"Why aren't you attacking me like you tried to attack anyone else?"

"They're way to energetic and their auras are weird. Yours was calming, simple." King said looking away. After a while the tavern was opened most people wanted to pet King, he let a few of them pet him but when it came to one guy King hopped away on top of Meliodas' head.

"Oh hey King." he greeted, King patted his head in a way then hopped off walking towards a stool in front of Ban.

"What's it like to be a cat?" Ban asked.

"Eh I'm a little more jumpy, more sleepy and I just want to-" King pounced on Ban's hand. "Sorry." He mumbled.

Ban ignored the fact that King pounced on him and gave him a bit of chicken. King sniffed it for a bit then pounced on it, his tail happily wagging behind him like a dog. The cat greatfully ate the chicken then rubbed his face against Ban's hand. King froze for a second not even processing what he was doing. Ban petted King softly making him purr in delight.

"Why does that feel so... Good?" King asked purring louder, them two where in their own wee world until someone pulled the cats tail, it wasn't Ban surprisingly. King hissed turning around to see that man he didn't like the aura off, he was about to claw him until he felt himself being lifted up.

"Unhand me!" King hissed until he noticed it was Ban.

"Don't pull his tail." Ban said simply putting King back on his shoulder, the cat hopped onto his head instead and curled up into a ball.

"Kinggggg?" Diane called out looking for the cat. "Ban have you seen King?" She asked, Ban pointed to his head where you could see the cat curled up breathing softly. "Ohhh sorry." She giggled walking away.

King purred nuzzling Ban's head making the taller blush slightly but he kept on with his work. A few people would comment on the cat or just the cooking, nobody was allowed to touch the cat while he was asleep. Cheeky little shit anyway.

The tavern finally closed and King woke up not being bothered to get off Ban's head, he laid their not caring about anything pawing at Ban's hair.

"Are you done on my head yet?" Ban asked taking a drink of the normal beer.

"Hmmm, nope." The cat meowed stretching, he almost fell off when Ban tipped his head back to finish his beer. King leaped onto the ground almost failing to land on all four paws.

"Have you tried to turn back?" Ban asked.

"Oh... I forgot about that." King laughed, he tried to turn back into a fairy and he did it, but he was left with ears and a tail. "Erm..." He said petting his cat ears and purred, he covered his mouth with his hand and bit onto his hand. The tail was annoying, it kept hitting against his legs sometimes even jumping being startled by it.

"Awww you look adorable." Ban teased reached out to pet the fairy's cat ears. King instinctively leaned into the touch with a purr, then he caught himself and jumped back meaning he knocked in to Ban.

"S-sorry." He studdered.

"Don't worry about it." Ban said petting the ears again.

"Ny- no." He scolded himself. "I'm not a cat I'm a fairy and I am not going to meow." He huffed to himself crossing his arms.

"Oh really?" Ban smirked, King blushed trying to get away. "Not so fast." Ban gently grabbed the King's tail, tugging it slightly making the fairy hiss at him. Ban petted the ears again and King was really struggling not to meow, Ban finally won and King sighed and turned back into a cat, looking away from Ban.

"Really? Your not even going to look at me now?" Ban asked amused.

"Nope." King flicked his tail and was about to walk away but he was grabbed by Diane, he let out a startled screech and hid under one of the tables. "Damn it." He muttered walking out from under the table, Ban started laughing at him which only made him blush and look away. Daine put a cat toy in front of the cat, King tried to stay still but you could see he was struggling not to leap on the fluffy thing.

King gave up and jumped on top on the item but it was removed in a swift motion. He growled and kept leaping for it, having way to much fun with the stupid toy. After awhile King got tried and dizzy from walking in circles, he looked away from the toy letting out a yawn. Ban yawned straight after.

The cat walked slowly up the stairs and couldn't be bothered to hop onto his hammock, or turn into the fairy form because that was draining. He flopped down on the cold ground and curled into a ball to keep himself warm.

Meliodas shooed the drunk man up to his room, Ban reluctantly went up to his room and took off his jacket and sat on his bed for a moment trying to get his head from spinning.

"What's up with you?" Ban asked the cat.

"I can't jump that high and even if I could my legs-paws-things would be sticking out in uncomfortable directions." The fairy explained yawning.

"Then get on the bed you moron." Ban chuckled laying down, King nervously got up and hopped onto the bed lightly, Ban took his pillow which made him sigh. So the cat laid right beside the blue haired theif.

In the middle off the night the spell wore off and Ban got to witness it, you could bearly see Merlin as she casted the spell.

"Keep the ears and tail, I wanna mess around with him." He whispered, merlin nodded her head and gave King back his ears and tail.

"Night." Merlin whispered leaving without another word. Ban smirked and petted the ears making King purr, the greed sin happily fell asleep with King clinging to his arm.

Made it as realistic for a cat and cute for the ship as I could, I think it turned out well. What about you?
