Luke started looking around for a place to hide - scared that Calum will force him to have an actual conversation with Michael – but before he could even turn his head Calum grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the two compadres.

“Can you at least be discreet?” Luke hissed quietly and glared at an amused Calum.

“We’ll see.” He hummed and smiled at Ashton; Luke only looked down at the floor. “Hey! What brings you guys here?”

My god, just bring me a fucking gun…’ Luke thought and groaned to himself.

“Probably the same thing as you guys.” Ashton giggled. “You coming to the party too, Luke?” Luke looked up at Ashton and forced a smile.

“I pretty much have to.” He answered and glared at Calum again, earning a chuckle from Ashton and Michael. Luke looked over at Michael. He was laughing. LAUGHING. UP CLOSE. Luke might as well just have fainted on the spot. But he just quickly looked away and his gaze landed on the floor again.

“Hey, Ash. Could I talk to you in private for a while?” Calum asked with an evil smirk and grabbed Ashton’s wrist. Luke looked at Calum with a terrified expression.

“Yeah sure, is it something serious?” He answered, oblivious to Calum’s wicked schemes.

“Life or death.” He smiles and quickly drags him out of the store.

Luke wanted to die. He didn’t want to be alone with Michael. He could say something ridonculus any second. He was a danger to himself. He kept his eyes glued to the floor, scared of awkward eye contact.

“Do you have a crush on Calum?” he suddenly heard and his eyes shot up and looked at Michael – horrified.

“W-wha-“

“I didn’t mean to just blurt it out like that! But you two just seem very… you know.” Michael quickly added and Luke actually thought he saw a blush on his cheeks for a second.

“Uhm… N-No. I, uh, what? Sorry, but you really just twisted my mind… Do I act like I have crush on Calum?” Luke asks worriedly.

“Oh, sometimes. Not all the time though, but when you’re cuddling up to him during recess and hitting his shoulder playfully with a huge smile on your face, you guys just seem… in love.”

Luke felt like a stuffed puppet. He couldn’t move. Does Michael watch him too?! What is this life?! Did Luke really appear gay for Calum?! Maybe he should’ve made out with Michael right then and there just to give him a hint about who he’s actually gay for.

“Y-you probably don’t even like boys! I’m such a goof, I’m sorry.” Michael whined and looked down at the floor. God, he looked so fucking cute right then and there - according to Luke.

“I-I like boys.” He mumbled and pretty much bought a shovel and started digging his own grave at that moment. What the hell did he just say?! His eyes widened slightly and his cheeks were as red as a tomato. He might as well just wear a sign saying “STICK YOUR DICK UP MY ASS, THANKS”.

Michael looked up at him, his cheeks lightly tinted pink. “Oh... Well, that’s good…” He said with a small smile.

It was quiet for a while before Calum and Ashton came back. “Oh, sorry we were gone so long! Did you make out or something?” Calum said with a huge smirk. Luke shot daggers at Calum and returned to looking at the shelves for something that seemed to taste good. Besides Michael’s mouth.

Luke really couldn’t stand Calum at times, but he’s just trying to be nice at least – he hopes.

“Hey, Luke.” He heard Michael’s voice from behind him and took a deep breath before looking back at him. “It’s good that I like boys…” Luke thought to himself, repeating Michael’s words in his head.

“Uhm, I was thinking - since those two idiots over there are probably going to spend the night at the party together, totally ditching both of us – if we could maybe go together, you know, to keep each other company?” He mumbled and gave Luke a small smile.

Luke froze again, his cheeks pink, belly filled with butterflies. “O-oh… I wouldn’t mind that.” He said, returning an awkward smile.

a/n: well, they met. crullocks.
