Dimensional doorways?

Tears stung my eyes as I fell. All I knew was that I wanted it to stop I wanted it to all stop, so I could catch my breath. As I got closer to the water that feeling grew stronger until... it all stopped. I was confused the water was still at least a 200 feet below me and I hadn't hit anything, but I wasn't moving it was as if time itself had stopped. Though I could feel that time was still passing. I looked around and noticed any object that wasn't part of the ground within 100 feet of me was floating as if gravity no longer had hold of it. I started to feel calmer when I realized I was still high in the air then I began to panic again. And suddenly whatever was holding up disappeared. Then I hit the water it was cold I was in shock my body becoming even more sore from the water. I couldn't move for a minute as I began to sink suddenly something grabbed me and began dragging me down faster. Finally my body allowed me move once again my lung began to burn from lack of oxygen. I began to struggle against whoever was pulling me down. My heart was speeding up it felt like it was going to burst. "Stop fighting, Demigod," whispered a garbled voice in the water with me. I began screaming under water I felt almost all the air leave my body immediately and I instantly regretted it. I began to fight harder my lungs begging for air. The world around me began to look hazy I couldn't pass out I just couldn't I struggled to stay awake. When I suddenly feel pain shoot through me "GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" I screamed into the water the last of my air gone. Sending the creature away from me fast looking confused as it tried to turn around to get me, but it was as if its body wasn't under its control it just kept swimming away. Suddenly a white glowing, swirling sphere formed around me, protecting me, I tried breathing in and found I could breath perfectly. The sphere went upwards towards the shore depositing me on the bank and disappearing. By now I'm completely confused 'Demigod' the creatures words rang through my head over and over again. What did it mean by that? All I knew was that whatever was going on wasn't good I had to keep searching for Tom. My legs didn't want to move from their standing position but I forced myself to move forward heading up the mountainous hill to see if I could possibly tell where I was from up there.
There was no point in going up there I realized once I got to the top there wasn't anything but empty fields and forest for as far as the eye could see. I groaned in irritation and began my journey heading in a random direction hoping to find a small town or city soon. I must have walked for hours my feet hurt I was sweating a lot, if Jesse hadn't taken my phone I would know for sure, but he'd gone on and on about people tracking me through technology, that I was of age, and could claim my birth right.... whatever that was. Suddenly I heard the loud beeping of cars and the familiar buzz of electricity, I felt a sudden rush of excitement despite my aching feet I sprinted towards the city. As I entered I could tell I definitely wasn't home anymore. The buildings were bigger louder and there was a lot more people in the streets then I had ever seen in my entire life. I noticed people were looking at me strange I felt a sudden wave of anxiety wash over me.
For the rest of the day I tried to blend in I even went to a few stores but every time I walked up to an establishment the stores closed the people look at me though the window always either scared, worried, or angry. Never sad or kind. That night I couldn't even find shelter, so I walked into an ally way that seemed to already have about 5 people there minding their own business I walked over to them and said, "do you mind if I sit with you guys?" "Not at all" says an older woman smiling at my kindly the others look at her as if she's lost her mind. I gladly sit with them pulling off my backpack and opening it. I pull out an apple I'd forgotten they all stared at me hungrily. "Do you want some I have more" I asked them. They all nodded their heads furiously suddenly not looking so uneasy about me. I give them each some of my food them closed my backpack. "You good, honey you don't look like you've had a great day?" Says the kind woman. "Actually it's been great I started my day with a skydive then nearly down underwater and after that have to walk for miles in the blazing heat to find this city just to be shunned by everybody for reasons I don't know." I tell her. "So not that great. Oh umm it appears we haven't even introduced ourselves my name is Maryland, but you can call me Mary. That's Josh but we just call him J. Then Kylia (Kye-l-ee-u) she deaf so don't go yelling for her from behind she won't answer. After that there's Tyke, that's not his real name but non of us know his real one so we just call him that, he's the strongest of us. And last but not least Lyn he's smarter then most of us." I nod to her and say, "nice to meet you I'm Alice and I'm just a girl looking for her missing brother." Mary looks at me questioningly "you know why people look at you oddly?" She asks. "No" I respond sadly. "It's because of your hair haven't you noticed no body has white hair around here it's seen as a disrespect to our goddess to have white hair and your eyes are violet no ones eyes are that color in fact, only one persons eyes were ever actually said to be that color but he was thought of to be a mistake that his children would be the ones to revive and save the realm." "What?! Goddess?...Mistake?....what?!" I says my mind failing to compute with what I was hearing. "Oh and hearing about you fall this morning seems you may be from one of the other dimensions" "dimensions?!"
"Yes dimensions you know as in dimensional doors that lead to other realms, worlds, and timelines?"
"No actually I've never heard of these things."
"Really...well then allow me to tell you a story..."
