I just want to say I adore this story and I had so much fun writing it!
This went through so many changes and twists before I ended up with this, for starters it was going to be a Draco Malfoy fic (yup). Secondly, Serenity was only going to be the eldest of three sisters in a family of four!
Not even that, she wasn't intended to be the main character- the middle sister, Hunter, was.
Merritt- my darling baby girl, rest in peace- wasn't meant to exist until the moment I wrote her appearance. My plan was to make Serenity the only daughter of Christian and be the only child. There was going to be no Merritt, no Lakita, no Logan or Lucas.
Juliet was also from a different fic I'd had planned (a Harry's twin fic so thank the lords I stuck with this one).
I also enjoyed writing pre-golden trio era without having to slot her story in amongst the Marauders. I enjoyed the link I made with the Malfoys and only the Malfoys because it offered my characters room to grow and develop without having to live up to those we already know.
