Your POV
I step in to the coffee shop feeling the warm air hit my front in contrast to the bitter cold of the winter air outside. It had just become evening making it around 5:30. As the days get darker quicker I gradually get more and more tired in the days leading up to Christmas. I have around 15 days to get everything ready. To get me through it all I have became a regular to this quiet little coffee shop. I rub the snow off my boots at the door and go to the desk to order my coffee with 3 sugars. As I grab my drink I head towards a small high up table with two bar stool seats. I slide back into my chair and sip my little cup of energy and warmth. As I reach half way through my drink I noticed a guy with surprisingly blue hair bundled up at a lower table in the corner near the large condensate window. I walk over and ask, "mind if I sit?" He shakes his head while staring down at his cup. "You looked as if you needed a friend." I say with a smile, but he still has his eyes fixed to his cup. Everything goes silent for a minute until he speaks, "I needed her." He pauses, then continues to say, "I needed her but she didn't need me. She found someone else who made her feel everything I couldn't make her feel but she could to me." Then everything was silent again. He brakes the silence by saying, "Sorry I shouldn't have piled that on you the way I did." He continued to stair at his cup. "Hey it's ok, it's always best to get your feelings out to someone." I say with a cheerful tone. "Im Y/N" I say hoping to get a name in return. "I'm Awsten." He says finally looking up from his cup. He looks startled as he looks at me. In return I pull a confused face. "Sorry it's just your eyes are beautiful." He explains with an intrigued look on his face. I feel myself blush and try to hide my cheeks with my hair. "No don't be embarrassed." He says with a slight chuckle. "No no I'm not it's just I haven't had a complement in a long time." I say kinda saddened by the topic. "Really? I thought with a face like yours you would have to beat guys off with a stick!" He says whiles smiling. I chuckle then take a sip from my drink. "So, Awsten, what do you do for a living?" I say trying to change the topic as soon as possible. "Well as you asked I'm actually in a band." He says whilst smirking. "Well I guess you have to beat the girls off with a stick." I say as I chuckle. "Haha very funny." He says sarcastically. "As you asked me, what do you do?" He asks. "I'm gonna sound really boring to you." I say, reluctant to answer. "Come on I bet it's not that bad." He says, basically begging me to tell him. "All right fine, I work in a retro themed dinner." I say, slightly embarrassed. "That doesn't seem bad." Awsten says with a smile. "Trust me, it is." I reply.
Time passes. We both finish our drinks and exchanged numbers. "I'm a regular here so if you come back there's a good chance we will see each other again." Awsten says. "Me to, I come here every day around five after work." I reply. "Well I'll see you around Y/N." Awsten says as he gets in his car. "Yeah I'll see you soon." I reply getting into mine. We both drive our separate ways through the snowy air and back to our homes.
