ساتھ دے گی خوشی بھلا کب تک؟

Samavia walked down the aisle which was covered in flowers. It took everything in her not to gasp out loud at the beauty that laid before her. Flowers were everywhere.

"Masha'Allah look at you! You look very beautiful dear. My son will be so lucky to have you as his wife." A woman spoke, as she came to hug Samavia.

Samavia passed a small smile to her. She seemed nervous, her eyes downcast. Alina came up behind her to make her sit on the sofa where her would be fiancé- Badr Ansari was sitting already, waiting for her arrival. He stood up as he saw her walking towards him.

Badr looked at Samavia who was now sitting beside him, he felt a wave of happiness seeping through him. For a man, the presence of an exquisite girl like Samavia in his life would be like having a celestial being from heaven. He was awestruck by her beauty and smile, which was captivatingly simple. He felt truly blessed.

Tazman who was standing near the stage, saw Badr looking at Samavia with pure admiration. His hand suddenly went up to run through his carefully styled hair to ruin the cracking hold of the gel as he lot out a frustrated sigh. Tazman then, looked at Samavia, and he was having a hard time controlling his eyes. Each little feature and action of hers seemed to be designed to drive sanest of the man crazy. There was just something about her. He was never like this. He was never this irrational until she happened. And what was that? Jealousy?! He was never jealous before.  He didn't even know he was insecure enough to be jealous about something till today. There was definitely something about her!

Feeling a burning gaze on herself, Samavia raked her eyes through the crowd until they met the particular dark ones for the briefest instant. Then Alina tugged her arm, bringing her attention back.

Tazman clenched his jaws, not wanting to look at her again. He had already caught a glimpse of her and it was enough. Enough to make him regret, enough to make him wish, and enough to make him feel what he was missing, enough to make him want. Why am I regretting my decisions? I know her true self, and all this is nothing but a facade of innocence and charms. I won't think over this again. Ever.

Samavia again turned her eyes in the direction of Tazman when she saw his back turned towards her.

She didn't want to lament over the thought for the rest of her life that, if she had just spoken her heart out, maybe the misunderstandings, confusions & their strong personalities wouldn't have torn them apart for good.

She closed her eyes. She didn't want to think anything, allowing the gentle wind to play with her hair, to caress her flustered self and to soothe her heart.

"Let's get done with the engagement. So we can have some fun later." Alina chirped, looking as excited as ever.

At the end of the function, Samavia's expressions clearly revealed that she was happy. Her eyes sparkled and the innocent smile on her face had never looked as sweet.
