By the time the buses pulled onto the sandy lot, both Lucky and Nova had fallen asleep and were now leaning against one another. Rosie had now made it one third of the way through her book, stopping every few minutes to make a comment about the main character. Rex had now migrated to sit in between them and was resting his head on Luke's lap. Wolf sat with his head leaning against the window watching the other students file off the bus before them. With a deep sigh he sat up and stretched as he looked toward the others.

Placing his hands on the seat corners he pulled himself up, as he straightened his back a few pops were released from his joints. Wolf looked over the seat to the two sleeping teens, smirking, he began to pinch Nova's nose. After a few moments he sat up with a start taking a gaping breath. Nova then looked around panicked before finding Wolf's smug expression, he quickly realized that Wolf was indeed a jerk.

"Don't look so smug you overgrown mutt!" Nova hissed as he ran a hand over his nose.

To His left Wolf heard the Reckon snort as she closed her book.

"Well at least Wolf didn't just pick you up and bring you to the water. I know for a fact that getting your nose pinched is way better than that."

"Quite Rosie, or the one getting dunked later will be you!"

Nova's glare only made Rosie laugh more as she stood up from the leather seat. Wolf stepped out of the way so she could wake Lucky and went back to his seat in order to grab his bag. His ear twitched to hear the soft murmur of Rosie's voice as Lucky gained consciousness; only making out a joke about hibernation season being over. Unable to stop the grin crossing his feachers; Wolf glanced over to Luke who was lost in thought as his hand glided through the fur on Rex's head.

Wolf leaned over the top of the seat and snapped next to the Demon's ear.

"Hey, earth to Luke, we still need to go find a spot on the beach. We need you to zone back in."

Jumping slightly the teen turned to look at him; agent the small protests of the dog sleeping on his lap.

"What, we're already here?" Luke turned to the window then back to Wolf. "I could have sworn we were only just at the school!"

"Luke, are you alright? You seem out of it, you need me to find you a chaperone?" Wolf asked, leaning down to ask in a hushed voice as to not alert the others, Wolf's teal eyes meeting Luke's mismatched ones.

Luke gave the taller boy a reassuring smile then shook his head, "Nah, I'll be ok just got lost in my thoughts is all."

Wolf didn't really believe what the demonic teen said but trusted that if Luke felt overwhelmed, he would let Nova or him know.

Soon, after a bit of convincing, Lucky got up and the five of them made their way off onto the sand covered pavement. As Wolf stepped down from the bus he brought his arm up to shield his eyes and lowered his ears. The shade from the bus had protected them from most of the sun's light and heat but without it they were now standing in it's direct glare. What started out as a day around 70 degrees now rose somewhere closer to 90. Wolf had to blink a few times so he could make out anything on the beach below.

There was a wooden fence lining the parking lot and was met in the middle with an archway. Along what looked to be freshly painted white wood was an assortment of colorful flowers and unlit fairy lights that weaved over its whole surface.

On the beach down hill were tents connected with what seemed to be the same lights on the fence, hanging on each tent were sighs informing students of the products for sale in the particular tent. Wolf counted about seven in total and read each sign quietly to himself; Flower Crowns, Swim gear, Smoothies, Ice Cream, Food, Beach gear. They were set up where they were facing each other and at the end was the seventh, a bright red first-aid tent.
