The next day I woke up in my own bed. I guess my father got tired of me sleeping on the couch. I got out of bed and changed into clothes for the day. I went downstairs and found Jason sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper. "Hey, Jason." I said. "Hey, kiddo. How'd you sleep?" He asked. "I slept really good." I said. "You want some breakfast?" He asked. "Sure. Where's my dad?" I asked while sitting down. "He went to the grocery store." He said while making me a plate. "Thank you." I said. "Your welcome." He said. "Oh wow. This is really good! Did you make this?" I asked while shoving the food in my mouth. "I did, yes. I see you like it." He said chuckling. I nodded.
*Later that day*
My father came back from the store a while ago. For some reason, he's been distant lately. I don't know what's going on with him and Jason. They don't talk to each other in front of me. They always whisper when they talk to each other. I went upstairs to my bedroom and looked under my pillow to see if the tape recorder was still there. It wasn't.

"Look what I found under Addison's pillow." I said holding up a tape recorder. "What is that?" He asked. "Shall we listen? Sure, why not Brahms." I said pressing play. "You know I didn't want to do this, but you got in the way. You messed everything up. Just know this, you won't see your daughter again." The person on the recorder said. "Who is that." He asked. "Like you wouldn't know. Who do you think?" I asked. "You?! You did that?" He said. "And the student becomes the master." *claps hands*

Where is that tape recorder? I thought I put it under my pillow? I went downstairs to ask my father and Jason if they've seen it around anywhere. "Hey guys, y'all didn't by chance see a tape recorder around have you? I asked. "No, not that I know of." My father said. I looked at Jason and he shook his head. "Okay, thanks anyway." I said and went upstairs.

"This is killing me. I have to tell her. I can't take it anymore." I said. "If you do I'll put a knife to her chest. You wouldn't want that would you?" He asked. I shook my head. "How did you come to be so cruel?" I asked. "I guess you could say it's in my blood." He said.

They both have been acting very strange. I need to figure out what it is they are up to. It doesn't seem good whatever it is. I went downstairs to find no one in the cabin. I checked outside and saw the weirdest thing. My father and Jason walking in the lake. I went over toward them and hid behind a tree. While they were walking my father looked like he was searching for something. He bent down and lifted something out of the water. It was a... DEAD BODY! It looked like it was a woman, but I really couldn't tell because the decay made it hard to figure that out. Jason and my father stepped out of the muggy water, walked over to a bench and put the body down. Jason looked at my father and started yelling at him. I couldn't hear what he was saying, but I could tell that it wasn't good. He then bent down to where the body was and started crying. What is going on? I'm so confused. I started walking back to the cabin when I stepped on a tree limb and it snapped. I looked over to Jason and my father. They looked in my direction and headed my way.

"I'm telling her Brahm. I can't stand this anymore." I said heading Addison's way. I reached the cabin and walked inside. "Addison! We need to talk." I said. I heard someone making a noise in the living room. I walked toward the sound and saw Addison sitting on the couch with her head in her hands, crying. I went over to her and sat down wrapping my arms around her. "Hey shhh. It's okay." I said trying to soothe her. "You're okay." I said. "What did I see?" She asked. "A dead body." I sighed. "Who was it?" She asked. I didn't answer her question thinking of what to say. "Um... your... your mother." I said closing my eyes. I felt something shift on the couch. I opened my eyes and saw Addison looking at me with wide eyes. "What do you mean by my mother?!" She asked. "The dead body was your mother." I said not being able to look at her. "Look, I wanted to tell you this a long time ago, but I never got the chance, but now I do so I'll just come out with it. I'm your father Addison.
