For the first time in a while Remus was truly happy. Safe in sirius's arms he wished this moment could last forever. But of course everything good has to come to an end. As Sirius pulled back Remus could see his eyes were filled with concern. He knew what question came next. Everyone asked it eventually. Even James who could physically not stop make jokes had finally given way. "What's wrong Moonie?" Remus tried to evade Sirius's eyes, because he really did not know. There was the obvious. Every month he turned into a raging beast with little control over his actions. Then there was the less notable side to Remus's problems. The part that include crying when no one was around and not wanting to go to quidditch matches or sneak out to Hogsmead. Both things he loved just four months ago. He felt so victimized by his emotions because they were controlling him not the other way around.
All of these thoughts came out in the answer Remus gave every time "I'm fine." It was only a whisper.
"You don't have to lie to me Remus." Sirius grabbed his hand, "Tell me the truth." His words had meant no harm but Remus still flinched away. "You don't have to put up walls when you're around me," Sirius fought to meet his gaze. "You know that right." Remus nodded halfheartedly. "How do I help you Remus?"
"You can't help what is broken."
Sirius laughed. "Is that what you believe? If anything I'm the one that's broken."
He scoffed "How?"
"I'm the first ever Gryffindor in excessively long line of Slytherins. A blood traitor in lineage of pure blood elitist. I mean there's got to be something wrong with me." Of all the things Remus expected Sirius to say, words of self doubt were never on the list. He was always strutting around the corridors with no care about his family or what they must think of him.
"So because you're not a bigot there's something wrong with you?"
"Well are you broken because you've got to take a potion a few times a month to stay sane, because quite a lot of girls do that."
Remus glared at him "Thanks for that."
Sirius pulled him in close so that there was only an inch between them. "I'm only saying," he whispered, "That we all have things wrong with us. And that I don't care about any of it." Looking down at him Remus could see he meant it.A/N I know there's not much fluff but it just sort of came out that way and also if I tried to write romance I think I might kill someone with how bad it it
