"Okay this is weird" I say, throwing my hands up in the air, getting fed up. "The gods aren't exactly known to answer us when we try and get their attention but they try and be "involved parents" at least twice a year to make themselves feel better."
"I know, but I see this as a good thing. I mean we aren't being sent to our deaths or have to fix their messes. I'm having a good time." Percy replies, sitting down on his bed and trying to wrap his arms around me, as an attempt to calm me down. His attempts work enough to get me to stop pacing as he leans his head against my stomach and his grip only tightening around my waist. "The world isn't ending, that we know of, and we get to spend our last year of high school together. The gods will send us to our doom some other time."
I roll my eyes at his statement but don't argue. He isn't necessarily wrong. Percy and I are living with his mom, Sally, for our senior year at Goode High. She insisted on all of our friends and I staying with them, even though I worried that so many people would be too much. She bribed us with her infamous blue cookies and we really couldn't say no, even with my idiot of a boyfriend trying to pull of puppy dog face to convince me.
Although, recently the gods have been unusually silent. No "Do this" or "Do that" or even "Fight this big bad creature even though I pissed him off just because I don't feel like it". As much as I love not having to worry about dying at any moment, I'm worried. They might have royally screwed up and then we'd have to fix it. Again. A sound of disgust dragged me from my thoughts and back to reality. My hand had navigated to Percy's hair and I was currently messing up his hair more than usual by running my fingers through it. Of course, the Seaweed Brain started dozing off to sleep and was starting to drool as I calmed him down more than his attempts did to me.
"As much as I love you both, the whole cutesy relationship stuff is disgusting," Thalia says as she walks into Percy's room and throws her whole body onto his bed, effectively waking him up from the near oblivion he almost fell into. He only glares as a response and refuses to move.
"It's only because he thinks keeping me from pacing is going to stop me from worrying about why the gods haven't trying to mess up our lives lately," I tell her.
"You mean it didn't work?" Percy says, a pout transforming on his face.
"You're cute when you think that helps, but no, Seaweed Brain, it didn't work." Percy then lets go and stands up, face instantly determined.
"Well then, I'll find something that will," he says as he quickly walks out of his room and down the stairs just as Travis and Katie walk in hands intertwined and swinging between them.
"What's up with him?" Travis asks, plopping down onto Percy's bed while Katie pulls up his desk chair and sits near us.
"Trying to get me to stop worrying about the gods not responding" I reply, my mind already starting to drift back off into my thoughts.
"I thought that happened yesterday?" I heard Katie ask Thalia as I zone out of reality once more. Their conversations continue for awhile until I heard something that caught my attention.
"Did you guys see that group of kids that walked into school the other day? They looked like they could be demigods. They look just like our parents but, like, smaller," Travis says in an offhand comment. My mind races as Thalia asks Travis a question about them but is interrupted when Nico steps out of the shadows made in the corner of Percy's room by the receding sunlight as the day slowly winds down.
"The gods are gone," Nico quickly states, "I went to check, just to get you to calm down Annabeth, and it was empty. No one has seen or heard from them. I didn't believe them, so I snuck into the throne room and I found this," he thrusts a piece of paper into my hands as everyone crowds around me to read.
Oh. My. Gods. Our parents are teenagers.
"Do you think-" Katie starts as we all look at each other with wide eyes. Percy then walks into the room, a plate of blue cookies and my favorite novel at the moment in his hands. He stares at us as we all stand with wide eyes looking back at him.
"What did I miss?" he asks nervously.

"APHRODITE I SWEAR I WILL SMITE YOU!" Artemis yells as a flash of newly pink hair races down the stairs, in pursuit of the giggling goddess of love. Athena follows behind her friend, but at a much slower pace and makes her way to the kitchen, grabbing a snack as she sits down across from me at the island where I was making myself a sandwich.
"You know, I was thinking-" I start just before I'm interrupted.
"That's never good," Athena says while smirking.
"Okay, first of all, rude, and second of all, you're only allowed that attitude with Poseidon because he deals with it." She only laughs at as a response, but proceeds to sit and wait for me to continue. "As I was saying, do you think our kids are going to find out that we're teenagers? Because that's a conversation I really don't want to have."
"Hermes, even if they did find out, we aren't going to be like this for long so it won't matter. Annabeth probably will sooner or later but we'll be back to our original forms by then. We don't need to worry."
"I'm just saying, we aren't exactly trying to be, whats the word, sneaky?"
"Inconspicuous."
"Sure that."
"It's okay, we'll most likely be done with this by the end of the week. Don't worry, I've already thought about this. Even if they did start getting suspicious, we'll find a way to fix it," Athena finishes, her ending statement cutting off the conversation as she diverts her attention to Poseidon as he enters the room.
I finish my sandwich quickly, eager to escape their playful insults as I try and push the kids out of my mind.

SO, this came out of nowhere. I felt like writing, I had an idea and BAM here is this chapter. Is it good? Probably not. Is it edited? Definitely not. But did I still write a chapter after about two years of nothing? Yes I did. TA DA. I can't promise another update time because I don't know when inspiration will strike again. Until then! Bye.
