JEONGYEON'S POV

I arrived at the place I should call "home". It was an expensive house, with a parking lot, a pool and a big garden with a fountain.
Did he forget mom and our past just for this? For money?

I saw a bunch of expensive cars beside mine and couldn't hide my disgusted face.

I rang the doorbell and waited at the entrance, then a woman opened the door for me. I bet she's his new wife... She's pregnant and A LOT younger than him.

"Hello Jeongyeon, please make yourself comfortable." She let me in.

"Jeongyeon. My son. You're finally here." He was going in for a hug but I just slided on the side and walked in the living room, not even looking at him. That's when I noticed someone on the sofa.

"Jeongyeon." He said with a smirk.

"WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?" I yelled almost biting my tounge, I couldn't hide my surprise.

"Just came home. I'm back, aren't you happy to see your hyung?" He said smirking standing with his arms opened.

It was a nightmare. Jimin is my step brother, and my worst enemy. He stole everything from me, my dad, my ex girlfriend... Almost everything. We went in the same school where he caused me only troubles, he made conflicts between me and my friends and made me lose a lot of them.

"You didn't inform me about this." I pointed my finger at my father.

"You wouldn't have come. I couldn't tell you."

"Im going-"

"Jeongyeon stop. You promised."

"YOU PROMISED A LOT OF THINGS TOO. IN THE PAST."

"Jeongyeon, please"

" " Let's stay together forever, I'm always gonna love you and mom." Do you remember?"

"That was a long time ago. And you perfectly now your mother's conditions. She was depressed and a-"

"You don't have. As you said I know perfectly her conditions."

"..."

"I'm going to stay, but not for you. I just don't want to become a man like you. Lies after lies and broken promises."

Dinner

"Why did you call me?" I asked. Let's make things faster and return home early.

"I need one of you to marry one of Im's daughters." He said looking at me and Jimin.

'Did I hear right? Im family? Is this karma? What did I do wrong?'

"One of you is gonna marry her daughter and is going to be the CEO of their agency. Mr. Im is becoming older and he wants someone to replace him behind the desk." I was a little shocked.

"Why not one of his daughters?" I asked.

"He wants a man. You and Jimin are both old enough to take this responsibility." I was left speechless.

"I already met one of his daughters. We casually met at a coffee shop." Jimin spoke.

"Yeah. Casually". I rolled my eyes and he just continued talking after glaring at me.

"I can improve our relationship, dad." He called him dad. You're not even his real son.

"Which daughter?"

"Im Nayeon." So it's really her family. Why her? Couldn't it be her sister? Why Nayeon?

"But dad. Does she know about the marriage?"

"Yes, probably. Mr. Im was going to tell his daughters this evening. Like me."

"Jeongyeon." I finally looked at him in the eyes, after years. The same eyes that looked at mom with love. Soon after  it was replaced with indifference. The same eyes that never shed a tear for her death.

"What?"

"Are you alright with Jimin doing the marriage?"

"I don't care. I'm not even part of this family, you didn't have to call me for such a thing." He looked down for a second and then moved his eyes on Jimin again.

I lied. I did care about it. I didn't want Jimin to marry Nayeon, not her. He stole everything, but he's not going to steal Nayeon this time.

"Then congratulations Jimin. My son."
