Author's note: Giving Richie's Sacred Gear a leveling system rather than having them all in one seems to be much better in terms of balance. Earning his powers by studying his book as well as Akeno in the future of this fic would be better suited as a learning curve throughout this journey as well as his other method throughout the fic of gaining his power, which will be heard later on.

Runic Prodigy, A.K.A. "The Hidden Artificial" was a magical ring given and created by the Blue Dragon Empress, Aeris. Its sole purpose was to protect the innocent and weak and overcome the wicked and strong. It was meant to defend, protect, and oftentimes kill in the name of justice and salvation. Only those who were blood related to the first person who used the Runic Prodigy are gifted automatically and must rely on the book for further information and skills. The ring forms into a dragon-like gauntlet when activated. It's dragon scaled feature resembles the style, look, and nature of the Red Dragon Emperor due to the previous user's skill and experience as a blacksmith. When activation is unleashed, the powers automatically start at Level 1.

Alicia's Spellbook - An important piece of information that documents every offensive and defensive attack from where it all started to where it was last recorded. It is not only a guidebook but also a diary that contains the life and times of the first user of the Runic Prodigy, Alicia the Spell Warrior, loyal right hand to Aeris, and husband to the previous keeper the Red Dragon Emperor.

The Runic Prodigy's powers are set at three levels, one higher with greater power. The more the user trains his body, the more the powers will evolve. A great way to train and level up powers is to rely on the spellbook. The book alone is the important tool to leveling up the ring's ability. However at the beginning of Level 3, the user must pass four rigorous tests along the way, that can only be done from the starting day til the transformation sequence under a full moon at night. Should that said user fail this test, their powers will no longer evolve and will be restarted from level one all over again. Should the user pass the tests, he gains access to the Shaelix sword as their power continues to evolve. There is one caveat when it comes to having the energy drained. This process is called a Stasis Lock. If all mana is drained completely, Richie will collapse and his body will go into complete shutdown for thirty minutes until his magic is replenished from within.The best case to revive him is for someone and only someone that has compatible magic to replenish his energy.

Level 1: Defensive Abilities

-Alicia's Shield - When used alone, the shield can be used to defend with minimum attacks by the enemy. With mana infused, it is capable of absorbing and reflecting kinetic energy without the use of physical force.

-Rebound - Reflect objects and projectiles from his shield with the right force.

-Boomerang Shield - The user can launch the shield from Runic Prodigy with little mana as a discus launcher. Able to strike one or multiple enemies thereby having the shield coming back to its original position to the sacred gear. It's shield edging is also sharp thereby, using it's weapon and skill combined for mid range to long range attacks. Uses Runic Prodigy as a disk shooter. With the right charge of mana, launching the shield toward the enemy or bouncing on surfaces to hit the enemy from behind.

-Invisibility - Only lasts for 30 seconds and uses half, if not more than half of the mana magic from within the Prodigy Gear.

-Force Field - Summons an invisible barrier by charging up as much mana as possible, thereby creating a massive forcefield. Resulting in draining nearly half of mana in his gear, thus deflecting higher grade attacks. It is also capable of protecting a size of a house or a large group of people; up to at least 20 to 30 people.

Level 2: Offensive Enhancements.

-Energy Burst - Only activated and released when he's at a great level of charged mana energy, causing great damage and/or delivering great shock waves of pure force. This power could potentially result in a stasis lock, if not careful.

-Energy Field - Harnessing the power of the mana magic thereby converting it into small to medium amounts of electric energy to attack his enemy.

-Crescent Wave - Charging up as much mana as possible to create a crescent hand motion, resulting in an attack of a huge, horizontal wave energy at a desired target and/or most likely to destroy the surrounding area.

-Needles Missiles - Multiple needles shoot from the fingertips of the gauntlet to impale their opponents; potentially creating a trail of needles. It is the only offensive attack that uses the least amount of mana.

-Devil's Superman Punch - Charging up as much mana as possible to create an ultimate knockout blow to the face of the users enemies. Utilizing this attack will drain only 25% of mana out from the Runic Prodigy. 

Level 3: Sword Activation & Additional Abilities

The Shaelix Sword is an ancient artifact given by the previous user of the Boosted Gear who constructed it, but enchanted by the Blue Dragon Empress later to help fight in the great war. It was later enchanted with Alicia's well known mana power and a small but of the most abundant power given by a devil as a peace offering, Arcane magic. Only a little was used to create a new magic combination called Arcana. Enhancing said sword will increase its strength 25x more than it previously was. According to the empress, it is said that due to its enchantment, the sword is rendered indestructible and can provide the Runic Prodigy much more power as long as the current user is in possession at all times.

-Energy Redirection - Reflecting the energy and/or energy-based attacks from their bodies or objects and releasing them in a more desirable direction, often back at the source.

-Channeling - Harness mana from the Runic Prodigy and channel it into the sword, making the sword retain its powerful form once more. This move is only used when optional or if he doesn't have time to refill from the scabbard. This move is very dangerous should he be low on energy. Doing so would risk severe fatigue.

-Wind Strike - A flurry of attacks that does extra damage to vulnerable targets, and creates an opening for your next attack to be more successful.

-Crescent Slash - Same abilities as the Crescent Wave but it is five times as more powerful and five times as more intense compared to the Runic Prodigy's base ability. Can also cut through enemies, objects, and projectiles.

-Parry - Able to wield the blade with such speed and precision that can swat incoming projectiles.

-Cellular Memory - If enough core mana energy is applied to a certain object, it will be reacted and attracted to its universal mate. The magical effects almost work like a magnet. A good example of this use of magic would be if one half of one pair of socks were missing. Mana energy would be applied to one half of the sock, then with immediate reaction, the sock with mana stored would try to find its missing half, thus reuniting with its mate. Another example would be King Arthur and his sword, Excalibur. At the time, both we're energized by a series of cellular memory. At a cellular level, all things are connected.

(Most defensive attacks use little to no ways of magic while offensive attacks can drain more.)
