Part 18: I feel I don't know where I'm going now

The next few weeks consisted of the boys watching my every move intensely. It got annoying at times.

Emerson was beyond happy about being a father. Remington and Sebastian were glad they got to be uncles. Emerson even told Stephanie. Larisa came over a few times to visit with Sebastian and I. It was nice and calming. We've decided to keep it from the fans though, for as long as possible. It'll be easier that way. I don't think any of us are in the proper mental state to deal with the chaos that it would create for us.

I flopped down onto the couch next to Larisa, smiling at her kindly as I did so. She smiled back before directing her attention back to the show she was watching. The boys were at the studio again today so it was just Larisa and I at the house. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram and Twitter, liking a few posts and stuff. Replying to a few comments here and there. I took a quick selfie, making sure I got the side of Larisa's head in there as well. I looked through the filters before deciding against all of them. I tagged Larisa and typed up some shitty caption then posted it. Within minutes it had hundreds of likes. I smiled.

I opened my messages finding no new ones. I scrolled past my mother's contact, hovering my finger over it a few seconds before I decided not to message her just yet. I didn't need to deal with her bull shit today. I looked over and Larisa was still watching the TV intensely.

"Larisaaaaaa. I'm booored." I whine while poking her. She looked at me for a moment.

"What do you want to do?" She asks. I shrug.

"I dunno. I didn't think that far. Too much work." I said, causing both of us to laugh. Larisa thinks for a while. The room stays silent the whole time.

"Wanna bake? I mean it'll be not boring and we'll get food out of it. So it'll be fun. Its not even an option anymore. We're baking. Get. Off. Your. Ass. Menace. BAKE. WITH ME!" Larisa says pulling me up from the couch yanking between words towards the end. I eventually give in and stand up myself.

We walk into the kitchen and I start digging through our cook book shelf looking for something that looks good but not too hard. After a good ten or so minutes I find a decently easy, but fancy, cake. Larisa agreed that it looks good and we start pulling out ingredients and start the oven. We started mixing the ingredients needed. Double and triple checking we didn't miss anything or add too much. Or well I was doing all the extra checking. When we finally finished we dug around for two circle pans and put the batter into them. We placed the cakes in the oven. I started cleaning up as Larisa started on the frosting. She decided on a vanilla to go with the red velvet. Or well it look vanilla. I finished washing the dishes we used, drying them and putting them away when Larisa finished with the frosting.

Now we wait for the cake to finish baking. We sit at the island and scroll through our phones. Stephanie sent me a message telling me she loves me and that she hopes I have a great day. Like she does everyday. I respond with almost the same thing and a smile on my face. She's always been so kind to me. We spend a few more minutes talking before the cakes timer goes off and I tell her we'll talk later. I grab a butter knife and stab it into the middle of the cake. It comes out clean and I pull the cakes out with a hot pad. Don't need any burns. And set them on the counter.

We wait for them to cool off before taking them out and setting them on the cake stand and put frosting on. When it's done we have a slightly less amazing but nice looking double layered Red Velvet cake. I'm pleased that they turned out well.

Larisa and I go back to the couch and turn on a movie waiting for the boys to get home from the studio. By the time the movie is over its almost 5. I get off the couch and walk into the kitchen to start cooking for the second time that day. I pull out brown rice, some vegetables and other things for dinner. I start the rice and chop the vegetables and spices before adding them in. The boys walk in the door a few minutes before dinner is finished. Emerson watches me intensely. I take the pan off the burner and grab a scoop and plates, setting them all down on the island for people to use and eat.

"Dinner is ready!" I yell for everyone to hear. Minutes later everyone is in the kitchen eating happily and thanking me for the good food. I smile and continue eating. Everyone eats until there's nothing left. Then they grab a slice of cake. Also enjoying it. When they finish they all rinse their dishes and place them in the now full dishwasher. Remington starts the dishwasher as Sebastian and Larisa cuddle on the couch.

I go upstairs, extremely exhausted. I change into one of Emerson's comfortable shirts and a pair of shorts. I crawl into his bed and lay down hoping to fall asleep; that was soon ruined by Emerson loudly coming in and flopping down next to me.

"Emmy-." I whine. "I was trying to sleep." I pull the blankets over my head in hopes he'd leave me alone. He didn't.

"Mency. I'm bored. Draw with me." Em whines.

"No." I reply bluntly. Emerson doesn't take no for an answer and eventually just pulls me out of bed. Lets say we didn't sleep that night. We were up all night drawing a large city one one of Emerson's many pieces of large paper. And we didn't stop for much until Remington and Sebastian pulled us away.

Well hello there my people. I'd just like to say, thank you for getting me to 1K. I never in a million years thought that was going to happen. Also, sorry for not updating in a few months. School started and I completely forgot about this book. Don't worry I plan on updating more recently now that I have some ideas. Its going to be one hell of a rollercoaster up until the end. I don't plan on ending it anytime soon but you'll never know. I'm gonna be moving in a couple weeks so updated may be slower.., if I update (oops.) anyways have a great day/night. (:
