Damon stepped inside their apartment. He assumed Graham is asleep since the house is so quiet but to his surprise it seems like the house is empty. It's strange that he doesn't hear any sound coming from the bedroom since Graham usually forgets to turn off the telly before he sleeps but the room is so quiet that he is certain that there is no one inside.
He stepped inside the bedroom just to find it empty. He went inside the loo but no indication of Graham there. "Gra? I'm home," he said. But no one is answering.
He searched every part of the house even though he's pretty sure that there is no one home. After a few more checking, he decided to sit down on the sofa and wait for Graham. He's starting to worry. Ever since Graham became alcoholic and getting accidents here and there, it is never a good idea to let the lad loose and get drunk all by himself.
Time flies so fast and it's been an hour since he came back home. He's starting to freak out and he wanted to call the police half an hour ago to report that Graham is missing but decided not to do so. He already called Dave and Alex if they know anything about Graham's whereabouts but it seems that they have no idea where he's gone. Alex rang him three times already to check if Graham is already home and it's starting to annoy Damon that he worries like he's Graham's boyfriend. He kept reminding Damon to ring him up as soon as Graham turns up which irritates Damon more.
After another 30 more minutes, the door clicked indicating that someone opened the lock and soon enough the sound of the door opening and closing echoed through the living room. Damon is still sitting on the sofa in the dark living room with just the table lamp softly lighting the place since he did not bother to open the lights when he came home.
He saw Graham stood at the door, searching for the light switch and after a few moments the room was flooded with light. Damon is still seated on the sofa looking straight to the lad standing awkwardly infront of him and he is positive that Graham is drunk.
"Where the bloody hell have you been, Gra?" his brows knitted but still trying to keep his cool and even tried to smile.
Graham jumped a bit in shock and looked at Damon with bright eyes. "I-I just we-went out t-to drink," he fumbles with his fingers which usually Damon finds cute but now is an exemption.
"I was worried sick! I almost called the police! I even rang the lads if they even know where you at," he sigh in frustration after his small rant. "You should've left a note or something to let me know that you're going out," he felt so disappointed about Graham not informing him where he's at but felt guilty at the same time as he remembered where he went earlier without Graham's knowledge.
"I'm not a kid anymore," the younger suddenly blurted out.
"Then fucking act your age, Gra!?" He shouted but regret washed over his anger as he saw Graham's shocked expression. Tears stinging at the corner of Graham's eyes.
He can't believe that Damon snapped at him although he knows that it's his fault. But thinking about the situation, the reason why he went out to "drink" is because the older lad was somewhat distracted lately and he feels like Damon is starting to lose affection towards him which scares Graham the most.
"W-why do you care?" He shouts back trying to sound angry although he knows it's failing due to his voice cracking at every word while his eyes are brimming with tears. "It's not l-like you s-still care for m-me anyways," he whispered sounding so defeated. He's blaming the alcohol for being so emotional.
Damon stared at the younger lad with this unreadable expression which infuriates Graham more. The younger throw daggers to him one last time before he started walking towards the bedroom. "It's not like that Gra," he said softly following the lad to the bedroom. He took Graham by the wrist and pulled him to a hug. The other boy just stood there silently.
"I just," he started but not being able to voice out what really was bothering him the whole time. It breaks his heart seeing Graham in tears because of his lack of attention this past few days. But he can't tell Graham that he's been thinking about a certain lad with that stupid Mancunian accent which annoyingly sounds so attractive and the incident that happened that evening with the same person.
"See! Y-you don't h-have a reason," Graham said with a sad tone. "Y-you just don't l-love me anymore," the voice came out as a whisper as tears flows down the lad's face.
"No.. no, no, no baby," he cupped Grahams face and showered the lad with soft kisses. "I love you and you know that!" He said firmly. "I just had a lot in my mind lately with all the schedules we have and I still need to continue writing new songs since I am planning to create a new album for the band soon," which partly is a lie since that is not the only reason why he was distracted.
Graham is still not convinced but he's too tired to argue and just wants to call it a night. He lets himself free from Damon's hold and smiled at him weakly kissing the older lad's cheeks lightly. He went to the bathroom to change clothes and hopes that Damon will let the conversation go and eventually let him sleep. He turned the faucet on and splashed cold water to his face staring at his own reflection in the mirror. He knows that Damon will be mad if he finds out about his short meeting with Liam so he decided to keep it a secret thinking that it's just going to happen just once. Or so he thought...
