A big thank you to for always being a good friend. @teardrops2002

Venessa's P.O.V

I woke up by the sun shining bright through the curtains, directly into my eyes.

I squinted my eyes together, trying to block out the sunlight as I let out a yawn and stretching my arms.

I sat up and leaned against my headboard, thinking about last night. My eyes immediately widened while I frantically looked around my room.

How the hell did I get in here? I questioned myself, searching for any type of clue that last night was not just a dream.

Please don't tell me it's a dream. I prayed when my eyes fell upon the bedside table at my left, where a bright yellow note sat.

A small smile formed on my face, thank god. I said as I reached over the note to read what it said.

"Sorry my love, I had to leave for an important meeting. Get ready I'm picking you for lunch and we'll discuss our wedding." I reread the note more than I can remember.

I couldn't help but squeal at the thought of meeting him again.

Taking a shower, I wore one of my dresses and headed out to go for a walk to help me clear my mind and also since I have a lot of time before my lunch with Vincent.

Mario called just a while ago and informed me to not come today at the diner, which I happily accepted, as I don't know if I'm ready to face any of my coworkers right now, especially Andrew.

Just a mere thought of Andrew can make my whole day depressing so, I quickly tried to shove it down, not wanting to think about it.

As I strolled around the park, I couldn't help but think about what happened last night, how Vincent consoled by whispering sweet nothing to my ears, and how he held me through out the night and let me soak his shirt with my tears, and even though when my sobs turned to hiccups, he stayed.

It's really impossible not to fall for that man.

But the point is am I ready to get my heart broken especially I'm going to enter into a loveless marriage and a marriage that has an expiry date.

I can't help the sigh escaping from my lips, as I walk over the park bench to sit down and enjoy for sometime without worrying about Andrew or about my upcoming marriage.

******

After my walk to park, I felt much more lighter, I remember back when I was still in high school, back those days when I was bullied real bad, me and my mother used to go for walks and it really helped a lot, it makes me feel more relaxed but unfortunately only for some time.

But after my parents death, I no longer go for walk as whenever I'm upset or feeling down, I just bury myself with work.

Just as I finished brushing my hair, the doorbell rang. Looking at my phone, I smiled, exactly on time.

Nothing compared to your lazy ass, snickered inner Venessa, but I paid no attention not now when he's standing at the door waiting for me.

My heart gave an excited leap, and as always it feels like it's alive once again.

What is this man doing to me?.

I proceeded towards the door, feeling my knees slightly shaking and my palms sweating, but I wouldn't let him know or notice that, it's the last thing he needs to know.

I pulled the door open, god dang, he looked deli... "stop" I exclaimed, not realizing I said it out aloud.

"Stop what, my love?" He questioned looking at me with his eyebrows knitted together, shit, I said it aloud.

"It's nothing, don't worry, shall we go now?" I quickly answered wanting to avoid embarrassing myself further.

"Ohh, okay" he replied looking at me as if he was trying to read my mind, I quickly got ahead of him and started walking not wanting to give any chance to read what's going inside my mind..

Opening the passenger door for me, I quickly hopped in. And soon we're driving towards the restaurant with his hand holding mine and and other hand at the steering wheel.

Reaching the restaurant, we got inside towards the reserved table. After getting seated and ordering, I badly wanted to ask him when the wedding is, not that I'm excited it's just I'm really curious.

Hmm.. whatever makes you sleep at night. My inner self said.

I looked at the man in front me who's too busy staring at me as if he's trying to read what's going inside of my head.

I cleared my throat to get his attention, which I got a moment later. And the moment he opened his mouth and said those words that I have been wanting to ask him.

"We have to get married tomorrow, rosa.", and after hearing his words, my heart started to beat excitedly, but the question is am I really excited for this marriage??.
