"wait why are we here?" i asked my sister, who had just pulled up in front of the traphouse.
"colby and brennen wanted to give you something, theyre both here" my sister said plainly. i shrugged, confused on why she didnt let me go home and change first.
"yall gotta stay in here, we'll be out quick" she told the two youngest as we got out.
she made me go first but she always does that so i didnt mind. i went to open the door since i knew thhey left it unlocked. soon as i opened it the word "surprise" was screamed, by loads of people.
i turned to look at haley, she was recording, then i look back in shock. i chuckled at the group of people.
"what the hell?" i said, still in shock. brennen popped out of the group and grabbed my arm pulling me in further, "happy birthday!" he said, somehow queing the group to start singing.
i scanned the group of people, most of them i knew, some i didnt. i kept scanning until i started thinking about how nice it wouldve been to had a surprise like this last year.
my mind went back to the group singing happy birthday, i hugged brennen cause i knew it was his fault this happened.
"hey dont forget colby, he set this up too" he pointed in his direction, and decided to give him one too. "thank you guys!" i said to all of them.

i walked up to the roomate i knew as jake. "hey" he looked up and smiled.
"hey, happy birthday!" he said enthusiastically, pulling me into a hug.
we talked for a good minute, becoming closer finding out about all the things we had in common.

the party lasted until 3am but i didnt go home until 4. i stayed after and relaxed with the guys + devyn and katrina.
we chilled on the couch, i sat in between sam and colby, which was an honor because you couldnt get in between them.
i met katrina today though, she's really sweet and bubbly. We're gonna be great friends, I can already tell
