All I see is red.

My vision is blurred and I can barely make out what's in front of me.

My lips feel wet and I felt something drip onto my chin. Wiping the back of my hand on my mouth, I wince and realize that my lip is cut.

"Shit." I whispered, it's bleeding pretty badly.

The alleyway is pitch black, there's only one street lamp, which is flickering on and off.

There's a dumpster and I swear I saw a rat run from the bin bags lying next to it.

It's really cold, I'm starting to shiver and I can see my breath each time I exhale.

My feet is hurting, I really want to take my  heels off but I don't want to risk standing on broken glass. There were some empty beer bottles scattered across the alleyway floor.

*crunch*

Instantaneously, I whip my head around to locate where the noise came from. It sounded like someone stepping on one of the glass bottles.

I reach for my gun in my waistband, just in case.

"Natalia, you know you really shouldn't be walking around in dark alleyways," I hear a soft, low voice.

There's the clicking sound of heels against a surface, walking closer and closer towards me.

Raising my arm, I aim my gun pointing in the same direction.

Her blonde hair was wavy, past her shoulders and she was dressed in a striped jacket, white shirt and pencil skirt.

It's Yelena.

She was wearing glasses, for what reason I don't know why since her vision is perfectly fine.

Maybe she was undercover?

On her feet were black court heels, matching her shoes.

She doesn't blink or flinch even though I am holding a gun to her face, she breaks out in a smile.

"It's good that you were prepared," Yelena laughed.

Embarrassed, I lower my gun and try to smile back.

"Well, I guess old habits die hard," I joked, sliding it back into my waistband.

The air feels like ice, I couldn't help but shiver again.

"You must be freezing! Hold on." She took off her faux fur coat and put it around my arms.

"No, otherwise you'll be cold," I asserted.

Yelena's eyes widened. "Nat, put on the coat, I've only been out for a bit."

Defeated, I put the coat on.

"Thank you." I whisper.

"You're welcome."

There's a long pause as she stares at me, looking at my face, then steps closer and lifts my chin. I can tell she's inspecting my bleeding lip.

She's looking at my lips for what feels like forever before she finally breaks the awkward silence.

"I would ask what are you doing here at," She pauses to look down at her watch, "11:30pm, by yourself, but I'm assuming you got into a fight?"

Maybe if I lie she won't

"Y-Yeah, this guy, uh, he was flirting with me and he wouldn't take no for an answer," I try my hardest to look her in the eye whilst talking.
