chapter 4

The next week I get my letter from Joli updating me on her condition and the baby's she tells me how bad her morning sickness is and how much she wishes I was with her.

I write back to her, in tears, tired and wishing I was with her too

Dear Joli,

I love you, I'm scared what if I didn't say it enough to you, but you know that I will always love you. I've never stopped falling in love with you since the day I meet you.

You don't know how much I want to be with you right now .safe, home, in your arms

And I want you to know that I love our baby so much already even when it's not born yet. I don't know if it's possible to love it more when it's actually out of your belly, I guess I will know someday when I meet him or her but for now I want you to tell the baby how much I love it

I pray every day to see you again but I just want you to know that If I didn't make it, I really did my best.

Note. If it's a boy I think we should name him Andrew

The next day when we climb up the mountain it's so quiet there are no enemies in sight. I start to think that maybe they are surrendering then suddenly the corpses under our feet start to move and get up. I look around panicked, it was a trap I start to run back as fast as I can like the rest of the soldiers but I don't make it

Three bullets fly through my chest and I fall to the ground. that's it. I guess I'm not going back home I won't see Joli or the baby, I can't hear the sounds of the battle anymore. nor the sound of the soldiers screaming or the guns firing nothing, all I could feel is the pain in my chest. 

The sky is so blue and clear but I can't really see it tears are blocking my sight.

I see her with her blue dress and red flowers I can hear her laugh. It's so beautiful, she's so beautiful and there is the baby in her arms, it's so tiny and beautiful and it has her mother's eyes

Blue, sky blue. I can't stop smiling at the sound of her laugh. then everything goes black.
