"I have been shooting arrows at this thing for approximately ten minutes now. I am beginning to believe that this is the Nemean Lion."
"That's what tipped you off? Not the Golden fur or the fact that it's claws ripped the door in half?"
"It could always be a different invulnerable lion."
"Is there more then one?"
"Knowing the Greeks? There are probably ten with very similar names."
"I hate Greek Mythology."
"Is it still Mythology if it's real?"
"Just shoot the lion, Zoë."
"Yeah, ZoZo."
"ZoZo?"
"Percy and his group got nicknames, why can't we have any?"
"Can we focus!?" Thalia yelled as the monster made another pass, to which she rolled out of the way of its claws. Zoë was a bit further back, doing her best to feather the creature with arrows, but it seemed to no avail. Thalia was getting tired, and this battle was all in all not very fun. It went like this, The Lion would run at Thalia with its claws and/or mouth, Thalia would dodge by the skin of her teeth, Silena would cheer her on, rinse and repeat. After about ten minutes of that, Thalia was getting tired, and frankly; a little annoyed. "How did Heracles kill this thing?!"
"He strangled it."
"How the Hades did he strangle it!!?"
"He's Heracles!"
"Fair enough!" Thalia yelled in reply, as she bashed the thing in the head with her fist, to which it flinched and backed off a second. She was no Heracles, and hitting it with her fists did not seem like the most feasible of options, but she didn't really see many alternatives, until.. "Hey! It's only its fur that's impenetrable, right?"
"Uh.. Yeah? I'm pretty sure."
"Zoë?"
"Yes?"
"Shoot its eyes."
"That is a very small target."
"You saying you can't?"
"Never said I could not. Do not go putting words into my mouth." Zoë mumbled, as she knocked another arrow, then launched. It landed directly into the beasts left eye, then a moment later, one in its right. The Lion roared blindly, its mouth opening agape in pain. Thalia used the moment to shove her spear down the monsters throat, then electrifying it. It spasmed upon the ground for a few seconds, afterwards, the flesh and bones began to melt away to dust, leaving only the pelt. "oh. neat." The Daughter of Zeus muttered, and as she picked it up, it transformed into a rather snazzy looking leather jacket, which she rather liked. "Double neat."
"That was incredibly easy once you figured out the trick."
"Eh. I won't complain about that."
