The rain took the polluted smokes away which delighted Queen, who was sitting on a shed waiting for a vacant jeep that would haul her away from these bustling streets.
Stretching her legs and dangles her feet, relieving the aches she has felt from her long walk which was just a few minutes. The lack of body exercises made her feel tired quite often but Queen was never much athletic in the first place, anyway.
She stared at the raindrops in a hurry to land, she smiled a little and then closed her eyes as she let herself be more aware of her surroundings now that the pitter-patter of the rain droned out most of the sounds.
Rain was, for her, is both beautiful and ugly, this made her relate about life too...
Queen blinked her eyes open as she was about to see a flashback and shook her head as if to break out of the thought. She stared blankly as the cold began to seep on her black soaked shoes, it was her favorite pair. She tsked, giving a disappointed look, regretting her decision of going out today and try to be a part of society. But here she is half soaked and tired.
"I should have just stayed at home" she sighed closing her brown eyes once more tilting her head while leaning on her right side, her arm, a support for the time being.
That's when she heard it.
Like warm breeze in a rainy day, soft yet defining... she could hear it with her heart, it calls for her, the heart singing a sweet song of remembering...
Without realizing much her feet and her whole body swayed off following the alluring sound. Dazed and spellbound to voice and the melody that danced in the air, it felt like coming out from the waters.
She felt it too much that a tear escaped her eye, she stared at the man ahead, singing with closed eyes with his hand clutching the mic. His sweat trickled down his neck and his brows almost met as he sings the higher pitch of his song as it ends.
As if the silence broke the spell, Queen woke up from it. Now realizing that she was almost at the center of a crowd, sitting with plates on their tables. The audience clapped as the man bowed and walked off the stage. She fumbled a bit on her sling bag pretending to look for something and at the same time walk off to the exit.
"Hope you enjoyed your time. Please come again" a voice said as she was about to make her way to the door and nodded uncertainly and tip-toed-dash out, feeling her heart pound.
That was weird... and awkward.
