10 He Knows

"You have a crush on Ivan"

She didn't expect that a single phrase could send her choking at her second breakfast meal in this Resto Cafe.

A glass of water was given to Queen as she tries to calm her coughs and drank the glass empty. 

"Am I right? or I'm right" Louis said while wiggling his eyebrows.

Getting mad at his bad confrontation habits, Queen glared daggers at him and decided to ignore him instead and try to finish her meal.

But Louis is a stubborn guy, so he tried to make his face visible at Queen's sight. That includes moving his seat next to her and resting his face on the table and scooted closer until he was close enough to Queen's plate.

What Louis didn't expect was a crimson cheeks from Queen. "Busted", he said.

Another dagger was sent to him.

"It's obvious Queen, there's nothing to hide"

Queen looked away and finished her drink.

"Well, it's more like it's common here"

Queen returned her eyes to the irritating guy.

Seeing that that took her attention he continued, "Ivan is pretty popular here. Obviously because of his good looks and talents, of course, who wouldn't fall for him." 

Louis put his head on his palm and his elbow propping on the table, proceeded with a bored tone, "He's more popular with the girls and yeah, most of our customers are girls and you're no exception" he pointed at her at the last part. "He's also a..." Louis paused as he noticed Queen's dejected look, so he gulped and changed the word that he was supposed to say, "a good guy. Yeah, good."

Not realizing what he meant, Queen believed the latter words and smiled at this. "Okay, good..."

Louis cannot bear the reaction, so he stood up and excused himself, telling Queen that he has to attend a customer. Though that isn't true as the other waiters have already taken care of it.

"What are you doing, Louis? "

"What do you think I'm doing, Angel "

"You're being childish here, grow up will ya?" Agnes said,  getting aggravated as she saw Louis slumped at the far corner of the storage room. Not getting any more patient, she kicked him on his shin so to get him moving

"Ow! Okay okay I'm movin' away"

And it works every time.

Louis lifted himself up and stood slouchingly.

"Just because we hired a couple of new people doesn't mean you're going to slack off all the time, buddy"

But then Louis sat down again and rested his head on the side of a shelf, " Well that's what they're here for. "

And another kick landed on him.

"This is not the same as your former life, Louis, get yourself together or else... " Agnes took out her phone as Louis was mending his now bruised leg and upon hearing this, his head shot up and lunge at her but Agnes was warning him if he ever step another foot.

So Louis held his hand up in surrender and made a beeline to the storage door, and Agnes happily resumed to her business.

Before Louis could exit the room, Agnes said, "You could always go back to Auntie, I don't think she's mad anymore... "

Dropping his shoulder, Louis replied with his back at her, "It's not easy that way... I know her."

He went further out to the counter and told the new cashier to have a break and took her place.

Though he felt downcast, his eyes wandered to Queen, and just in time to see her like a puppy seeing her favorite person on the whole world singing.

"Pfft...  Sucks to be her"
