'You should find me intimidating.'

Chapter four: coffee
Andy's point of view

"I wonder if you would join me for coffee this morning?" My heart slams into my mouth. A date? Ryan Beaumont is asking me on a date? He's asking if you want a coffee. Maybe he thinks you haven't woken up yet, my subconscious whines at me in a sneering mood again. I clear my throat trying to control my nerves.

"I have to drive everyone home." I said. Twisting my hands and fingers infront of me.

"Josh." He calls his butler. "Josh can drive them home."

"Josh can you drive the photographer, his assistant and Mr. Wyatt home?" He ask his butler.

"Of course Mr. Beaumont." He said polite.

"There. Now can you join me for coffee?" He smiled as it was already a done deal.

"Um... Mr. Beaumont... you... look, Josh doesn't have to drive them home." I look up at Josh who waited there. "Can I talk to Brook first?"

He gave me a nod as he smiled and re-opened the door so I can walk up to Brook.

"Andy, I think he really likes you." Brook smirked.

"But I don't trust him." Mikey glares at me.

"Brook if you take the mini, can I have your car?" I ask him as we came here with two cars.

"Why?"

"Ryan Beaumont has asked me to go for coffee with him." His mouth dropped open, speechless Brook. I savor the moment. Brook grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the others.

"Andy, there is something about him." His tone is full of warning. "He's gorgeous, I agree, but I think he's dangerous. Especially to someone like you."

"What do you mean someone like me?" I demand.

"An innocent like you, Andy. You know what I mean." He said a little irritated.

"Brook it's just coffee. I'm starting my exams this week so it won't be long." I told him.

"I'll see you later. Don't be long, or I'll send out search and rescue." He said.

"Thanks." I said and gave him a hug. I went back to the hall where I left Mr. Beaumont, to find him waiting, leaning against the wall. Like a model posing for the cover of a fancy magazine.

"Okay, let's have coffee." I said, blushing. He grins.

"After you Mr. Fowler." He stands up straight and held his hand out for me to go first. I make my way down the corridor, my knees shaking, my stomach full of butterflies, and my heart thumping a dramatic uneven beat. I am going to have coffee with Ryan Beaumont... and I hate coffee.

We walked down to the door. What should I say to him? My mind is suddenly paralyzed. What are we going to talk about? What on earth do I have in common with him?

"How long have you known Brooklyn Wyatt?" Oh an easy question for starters.

"Since our freshman year. He's a good friend." I said. He opens the door and much to my surprise, Beaumont takes my hand, clasping it with his long cool fingers. I feel the current run through me, and my already rapid heartbeat accelerates. Beaumont grins.

Outside, it's a mild May sunday. The sun is shining and the traffic is light. Beaumont turns left and strolls to the corner. Where we stop, waiting for the lights to turn green so we can cross the street. I'm in the street and Ryan Beaumont is holding my hand. No one has ever held my hand. The light turns green and we're off again. We walk two blocks before we reached the brighton's coffee house, where Beaumont let go of my hand to hold the door open so I can step inside.
