Chapter 8

" I can't believe you're actually leaving." said Aaron.

We continued packing all my clothes in my suitcases besides some of my clothes for the next few days. I couldn't believe I was leaving either. I hate my parents for just throwing this big news onto me but at the same time, it was my dream to live in South Korea, ever since my friends got me addicted to K-Pop

" Aaron, you know I have always wanted to live in Korea." I said while walking up to him. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him while I put my arms around his neck.

" I know, but that was supposed to be after we graduated together. I moved to Seonam to be with you. I want you Alexis. Now we can't even be together." he said. Long distance relationships never work and everyone knows that. If I didn't go to school with Aaron I would not be with him at all. I would be with a white boy most likely.

" You know I want you too but honestly Aaron, we both got hoes." I said while laughing. He let out a little chuckle also. I let go of him and walked over to my bed. He walked out my room to go take a shower and I sat on my bed drifting in my thoughts. Seoul.. Wow, that's really far from Michigan. I'm gonna have to adapt to it all. The cold, the language. I'm going to feel so weird with my American accent. I heard the shower stop and I looked at my clock. I didn't even notice that I was day dreaming for 20 minutes. Aaron came in the room already dressed and turned off the T.V. and lights. He got in the bed with me snuggling really close to him.

" I would rather us spend the last few days having the best time, other than us worrying about the obvious." I looked up at him and kissed him. I closed my eyes, falling asleep right in his arms.

Friday Morning

2:00 am

"So I'm leaving guys, I can't believe it." I said. All my closest friends stand by me. "You know, I'm actually kinda jealous, you're dad is working for BigHit now that's where BTS is, so get me an autograph" everyone starting laughing until it slowly faded off. I gave everyone my last hugs and got in the car with Aaron. I watched everyone fade into the distance as he drove away. My parent shipped most of my stuff over so I only had about 2 suitcases with me.

The drive with Aaron was mostly silent, I wanted to talk to him, but I knew he was sad about me leaving. his veins were popping out everywhere which actually was cute, but he only does that when something was wrong. I could have turned on music too, but still too much awkward since all my music is Korean music and now that I'm moving there. awkward.

(--2 hours later--)

We had finally reached the airport, other from looking really sad, Aaron also looked really tired. It was 4:30 in the morning and then my plane ride was going to be 12 hours. This was going to be pretty long. Aaron and I continued walking in the airport trying to find what section I was going to be in, after 15 minutes we had found it. Aaron let my luggage go not turning back around to say his goodbye. I walked around to stand in front of him touching his cheek to lift his face. his eyes were turning red, tears almost falling down his face.
"Aaron, promise me that you will find someone and become serious with them. Stop having so many hoes, and straighten up. I know the girl can't be me, but find one." I told him. He took my hand off his face and hugged me. He let ago and looked at me.
"I was going to do it with you, and I will truly miss you, but never forget to call me when you get there, you have too." he said. We stood there waiting for my flight to be called up. I pulled out my headphones and stuck one in Aaron's ear as we waiting. I pressed play not knowing what would come on, and the worst song for this moment came on. 'Crying' by SISTAR. Seriously the saddest song in my playlist, right in the middle, my flight was called. I grabbed my carry on and looked at Aaron in person for the last time.
"You should get going, I shouldn't keep you waiting." he said.
I started walking as my hand slowly left his, I handed my ticket to the lady and started walking in. I turned around, seeing Aaron and waved at him a tear dropping from my eyes. "Go" he mouthed. I turned my back walking down the hall to get on my plane. "Thank you for riding with Korea Air, we will began our flight in just a moment to Seoul, South Korea. Please turn off all phone service and buckle you seats for take-off" The pilot spoke on the intercom. I buckled my seatbelt turned my phone on airplane mode and put my earphones back in as 'Color Ring' by WINNER started planning.
South Korea. I'm coming.
