The team Rocket trio were in the woods trying to spot one of the twerps. Jessie was separate from them, her mind completely occupied by the words of the fortune teller. James was worried. She never acted like this, so what could have happened.

"Hey Meowth, what do you think is wrong with Jess?" James whispered to the cat Pokémon.

Meowth looked away from the binoculars in his paws and looked at their female teammate. "I don't know. Maybe you should talk to her."

James nodded slightly to himself. He scooted over to her. "Hey Jess?" She didn't reply. She was really deep in thought. "Jessie?"

"What?" Jessie finally answered, but didn't look at him.

"Are you ok?" James asked. "You seem distracted."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Jessie hissed.

"Nothing. I'm just worried, that's all." James defended. "We are a team."

"Your point." Jessie glared, trying to hide the affects of her pleading thoughts.

James sighed, looking almost hurt. "Jessie, we are a team. We support each other, no matter how tough it gets, now matter how angry are with one another, and despite our past lives. I couldn't imagine a life without you and Meowth. So if something is bothering you, you have know that you can trust us, trust me."

Jessie had to fight the blush that was trying to appear. She turned away and crossed her arms. 'It's not true! He is just my friend! Just my teammate!' "Shut it!" Jessie snapped.

James jumped, not expecting that kind of reaction after his touching speech.

"Alright, that's it!" Meowth interjected, getting fed up with this. "What is going on Jess? You have been acting weird since yesterday after the fortune teller thing. What happened?" Jessie blushed, glaring at the cat Pokémon. She was silent for a few moments. "Well?"

"Fine. That old lady told me my true love was someone that would never happen. It's just hard to get out of my mind, that's all." Jessie replied.

"Who is it?" Meowth grumbled.

"Does it matter?" Jessie retorted.

"It's does if it is bothering you this much." James stated.

"If I tell you two, will you promise to shut up and drop it?" Jessie wagered.

"Yes." They replied in unison.

"Fine, she told me my true love, the man I'm meant to be with, is James." Jessie answered, as if it didn't affect her.

"What? Me?" James asked, shocked. A blush quickly stained his cheeks.

"You said you'd drop it." Jessie growled.

"How can I?" James argued. "Especially when-"

"No! I told you to drop it, so drop it!" Jessie interrupted.

"But Jess-" James tried again.

"James, just drop it! Now!" Jessie demanded.

Meowth just watched his teammates bicker back and forth.

"Jessie just let me speak!" James exclaimed.

"Not of it has to do with what I said!" Jessie shot back.

"Why not?" James asked, irritated.

"You want to know why? This right here!" Jessie gestured, mostly to herself. "Me! All I do to you is yell at you, hit you, and use you for my own selfishness! Why would anyone want to be with me?" Jessie hissed, a few tear slide free.

James stepped forward. "Jess, I know who you are and believe it not, you were the best thing that ever happened to me. Sure you have a short temper and can be bossy, but it's what makes you who you are and I wouldn't change a thing about you. All of us have flaws, troubles, and moments. We have all made sacrifices for each other, even you have. So please, be willing when I tell you...I love you."

Jessie was crying at this point. No one had ever thought so highly of her, nor cared so much. Seeing and hearing this, was like a breath of fresh air after living in a smoggy city. It was so lifting, so heart warming. She knew how she felt now, hearing what he just said.

"Jess, are you alright?" James asked concerned.

"No..." Jessie remarked. She then stepped forward and kissed him, right on the lips. James was shocked at first, but quickly complied. They held each other close as they kissed, enjoying every possible moment it lasted. "But I am now..." Jessie cooed when they parted. James simply smiled.

"I don't know about you, but I say we give the twerps a break, just for today." Meowth stated.

"I'm in." Jessie replied.

"Me too." James added.

So, the three just rested under a tree, Jessie rested her head on James's shoulder, and Meowth curled up on their lap. They stayed there in the peace and quiet, enjoying their new found love.
