Chapter 1- The Break In

Iris's POV:
          I woke up to a bright light coming from my window, hitting my eyes. I sighed and turned to my right side away from the window, trying to go back to sleep. When I was about to fall back asleep I hear someone opening my door, I already knew who it was. It was my maid, Kira. She has been there for me sense I was a baby. She technically raised me more then my parents did.

"Princess, it's time to get up!" Kira yelled as she gets my outfit out of my closet.

"Ugh, it's only six o'clock" I groaned.

"No, it's eight thirty!" Kira shouted " you were supposed to meet your parents thirty minutes ago!"

         I turned to my left side to see my clock and it turns out she was right, it was eight thirty! "Holy shit!" . I rushed out of bed,grabbed my clothes Kira got out for me,and head to my changing room.Trying to put my outfit on as fast as can. I can't believe I slept in, I could have sworn I set my alarm last night before I went to bed. I finished getting dressed so now I had to go the bathroom to brush my teeth and fix my hair . I heard Kira walking towards the entrance of my bathroom, I turned my head seeing her leaning against the door frame.

   "You know you really gotta work on waking up ON time, especially sense you are next in line to rule" Kira said in a serious tone.

    I rolled my eyes and turned my head in front of the mirror. I really hate when she does that, I swear she acts just like my mom. After I brushed my teeth I didn't have time to do anything special with my hair, good thing for tree braids. I separated the top section of my hair and put it in a ponytail, could have done better but it will do.

" Alright Kira, I'll be back soon and thank you for waking me up" I said

" No problem...Look, I know you don't like it when me or your mom tell you what to do or not do but we do this because we want what's best for you" She said as she puts her hand on my shoulder " I love you and good luck"

When she took her hand off my shoulder I smiled gave her a hug " Thanks, I love you too" I replied.

Sense I was running out of time I had to run out the door, god I hope my parents don't give me a lecture for this.

~TIME SKIP~

I finally made it to the entrance of the dinning room where I'm supposed to meet my parents. I took deep breaths trying to get prepared for going in the dinning room.

"Come on Iris, you can do this." I muttered while still taking a few more breaths.

Finally, without anymore hesitation I open the doors to the dinning room. As I first walked in I see my parents sitting across the table with really pissed off look in their faces. I knew I'm gonna get a lecture for sleeping in. Just hope it won't be bad as last time I got a lecture from them.

"Good morning mother, morning father" I greeted.

"Good morning Daugh-" Cenus greeted before he got interrupted.

"Please, sit down Iris" Tetra said in a firm tone.

I sat down on my chair sitting across the table from my parents. Well here it goes, another long lecture from my parents, especially my mom.

   "You were supposed to meet us here forty minutes ago, where were you?"

    "I-I w-was with Kira, she wanted some help with cleaning the place and I lost track of time" I said with a grin, hopefully she will believe me.

     My mom gave me a 'are you serious look' on her face, so much for that. Before my mom could say anything she looked at my father and they nodded to each other. I wonder what they agreed on, it's making me a little bit nervous. All I know that's it's not gonna be good.
