Theodosia's feet hit the uneven ground harder the faster she went, her horse was not fit for a journey, but she realized that too late. Though the distance between Deverna and Oana is no more than twenty miles, but traveling on horseback during a drought is tough. Theodosia's horse collapsed about ten miles in, a malnourished horse does NOT travel well. Theodosia knocked on the door of King Philip's castle, a servant opened the door, demanding to know who she was.

"I am Theodosia Bartow from the Deverna kingdom, I have come to deliver a message from Prince Aaron to the Princesses." Theodosia explained. The servant nodded, allowing the dark skinned girl into the castle. Upon Arrival Theodosia's eyes lit up, the walls were covered in beautiful pastel pinks, blues, and yellows. Somehow all of them blending together wonderfully. Golden and silver trinkets covered every shelve, desk, or table in sight. A giant portrait of the Princesses, the King, and the queen hung in between the two velvet staircases leading into one. Theodosia spun around, taking in the beauty of this castle compared to the Burr castle. Due to her lack of attention, Theo backed up into someone's chest, two strong yet gentle arms grabbed onto Theodosia's shoulders, turning her around.

Theodosia came face to face... or face to neck rather, with Princess Angelica, who was smiling at the young girl sweetly

"Agh I'm so sorry I was admiring your beautiful... eyes- I mean castle and I failed to pay attention! Please forgive me!" Theodosia exclaimed, getting lost in Angelica's beautiful chocolate eyes. Angelica kneeled down in front of Theodosia, smiling.

"And which kingdom are you from?" She asked calmly

"I'm from Deverna, Theodosia Bartow at your service Princess Angelica! I'm a messenger and maid for Prince Aaron!" Angelica made a faced disgust at that statement.

"Ew, Aaron? You are far too sweet to work for that mouth breather." Angelica claimed, before realizing she was probably here for a reason. "Well anyway, I believe you were sent here for a reason?" The princess asked. Theo nodded, her dreadlocks bobbing with her. Theodosia handed Angelica parchment neatly rolled up with a dark purple stamp of a quill in the center of a Kings crown, the words "always be willing to wait for it" were written in small print around the outline, the kingdom's slogan.

"That's for you, I don't know what's in it though" Theo confessed. Angelica opened the note, taking a few minutes to read the short letter. Angelica looked to Theodosia, smiling.

"Prince Aaron has invited my sisters and me to a ball, you will be attending, yes?" Angelica asked, hopeful. Theodosia tilted her head a little.

"Well I cannot say, but I believe so" Theodosia smiled. Angelica smiled back at the girl, before embracing her with a hug.

"I'll see you then Theodosia Bartow." She exclaimed, Theodosia blinked at the sudden embrace, but quickly wrapped her arms around Angelica as well, liking the feeling Angelica was giving her.

"I best be going Princess, I don't want Prince Burr to start worrying." Theodosia said, pulling away from Angelica's warm embrace.

"Of course, do you have a horse Ms. Bartow?" Theodosia felt her cheeks burn lightly with embarrassment.

"I... did. I had to leave him ten miles back, poor thing died of starvation, I can head back on foot though Princess Angelica!" Theodosia explained. Angelica shook her head

"I believe you can call me Angie if you wish, I shall provide you with my best horse, I do not want such a young soul getting injured, no one knows what could be hiding in that forest between our castles." Angelica claimed. Theodosia smiled,

"Well in that case you may call me Theo if you would like. I promise to return your horse at the ball, I shall see you soon, Angie" She Smiled at the name Angie, short and sweet, Theo felt honored to call a Princess by her nickname, a beautiful one if any. Theo was in awe.

"Why thank you Theo, I shall see you then." Angelica then gave Theo a small peck on the cheek, before turning and heading off to find her sisters.

Theo found Angelica's horse, a strong Lusitano, his stall had the name "Philip II" written in fancy gold lettering. The horse was all a velvet black except a large white stripe down his muzzle. Theodosia took Philip II's reigns and lead him out of the wooden stable and out onto the gravel road. She mounted the horse and kicked his sides. The horse took off towards the forest leading too and from Deverna. the sun was slowly setting as pinks purples and oranges filled the sky. Theo got Philip II from a walk into a gallop, wanted to get back before night fall, the heavily guarded walls of Denerva began to make themselves known. Theo pulled back on Philip II's reigns when she reached the gates, she knocked twice, the guardsmen recognizing her signature dreadlocked hair, pulled up into a bun.

The large wooden gate fell open with a long and ear piercing screech. Theo rode Angelica's horse past the young village children, looking up at her in awe. She dismounted the horse and tied his reins to a worn-down stable owned by one of the local farmers. She poured some older grains into a small rusting bucket.

"Theodosia where have you been?!" A familiar voice asked worriedly. Theodosia jumped at the sudden voice and turned around, hastily folding her arms behind her back, standing up straight. Aaron Burr strolled over to Theodosia, inspecting her.

"Sorry Sir. Princess Angelica was hard to locate." Theo explained, Aaron rolled his dark eyes and held out a hand to Theodosia. Theo swallowed down a scoff and walked past Aaron and into the Castle, Aaron following closely behind her.
