I looked up and exhaled the breath I didn't know I was holding. The lights. The small chatter of the hundreds of people in their seats and quiet footsteps of dancers getting into place, it made me nervous. Even though the lights were too blinding for me too look out into the crowd, their presence alone made the butterflies in my stomach flutter uncontrollably.
The music begun playing, the sweet sounds of the piano echoing throughout the large auditorium, my body and those of the rest of my class begun moving to the beat as the other instruments of our school band played. The performance felt quick compared to our countless rehearsals but the cheers and applause from the audience was definitely worth every cramp and the tears that came along with it. Our teacher walked out in front of us as we lined up and bowed, facing the crowd he thanked them for coming. The crowd cheered louder for him than they did us well...he was the Lee Taemin, one of the most popular artists in South Korea right now...it's honestly shocking that he chose teaching over performing worldwide. After his solo he closed it off, everyone heading to the change rooms.
My name is Park Jimin, I'm eighteen years old and am studying at the most prestigious performing arts schools in the district, I really don't know how I got into such a fancy school but here I am, three weeks into my first year. Sometimes I question if some of their techniques are legal but in the end we come out a stronger person or some bullshit like that. I sighed and packed my things away into my bag, quickly running to the bus to return to the campus.
The bus trip was long, of course we had to travel two hours just to perform for people who only came to see Taemin, I rested my chin in my palm and put in my headphones to play music as I dozed off in the fancy coach.
(No ones POV)
The bus arrived at the campus late in the evening, the class slowly getting off the bus one by one as they all headed to their dorms, Jimin opening his door to his roommate asleep on the couch. He sighed. "This boy..." The smaller helped him into his room before heading to his own after tidying up, passing out almost immediately.
The next morning Jimin's door was flung open by his roommate, the younger smirking as he jumped onto his Jimin, scaring the older awake with a squeal. "JUNGKOOK WHAT THE FUCK?!"
Jungkook smirked with a giggle and sat up, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking back at Jimin. "Thanks for taking me to bed last night, I was too lazy to get up and walk."
Jimin's eyes squinted as he sat up. "You were awake?" He asked with a hint of annoyance in his tone to which Jungkook nodded with a sweet smile, earning a slap on the arm from Jimin. "You're so lazy!" He yelled, getting out of bed with a huff.
Jungkook whined. "I wasn't lazy. I was tired!" He stood also, watching Jimin get ready for school.
Jimin threw Jungkook's uniform at him. "You're doing laundry later." He grumbled as he got changed, Jungkoook following with a whine. "But I always do it wronggggg!"
When the two arrived at school they joined up with their close friend Jin who greeted them with a sweet smile. "Good morning!" He waved, standing up from his seat.
Jungkook ran over and hugged him. "Hyung Jimin's being a meanie!!" He fake sniffled, sucking up to the eldest.
The shorter's eyes squinted. "You little shi-"
"LANGUAGE!" Jin cut Jimin off, pushing Jungkook off him softly, "Did he tell you that it was your turn to do laundry?" He raised a brow.
Jungkook nodded with a shocked expression. "How did you know?!"
Jin face palmed himself with a sigh, smiling and ruffling his hair. "Just listen to him, I'll buy you lamb skewers for lunch okay?"
Jungkook's eyes sparkled as he nodded quickly. "THANK YOU HYUNG!!!"
Jimin sighed and shook his head, walking with them to class, hugging his pastel blue folder which was covered in cute simplistic stickers.
(Jimin's POV)
I waved to Jin as he was in another class and had to leave, walking with Jungkook into our own classroom I sat at my usual seat at the back and away from everyone. I lowered my head to the desk, resting on my decorated folder as my eyes slowly closed, the last thing I heard was talking from other students which muffled down to murmurs as I dozed off.
When I awoke there was no one left in the classroom and it was becoming dark, I sighed as I stretched, wiping the drool from my cheek and folder. "They didn't even wake me..." I frowned and quickly gathered my things, quickly walking out to head for my dorm before the sound of piano keys caught my attention. I stopped and walked back a couple of steps, looking down the corridor to the music rooms. "There's still people here..?" I say quietly to myself as I slowly approach where the sound was coming from.
The door was already opened which was lucky as I didn't want whoever was in here noticing me, I just came to take a glance then be on my way, that's all. I pushed open the door slightly only enough to see who this mysterious person was, the piano sounded so beautiful I didn't realise I pushed the door all the way open, the boy sitting at the slick black piano was so pale...and mesmerising, just like the sounds of the keys.
It felt as though I was under some sort of trance as I unconsciously walked into he room, staring at the boy who's eyes were closed, he looked so peaceful and calm as his slender fingers gently caressed the soft ivory keys. I stopped in front of the piano staring at his flawless face. "Wow..." I accidentally muttered out loud.
The sounds of the sweet piano stopped and my eyes widened as I realised that I had said that out loud, as if someone had kicked me back into reality. The pale boy's dark eyes opened and pierced into mine as three words escaped his lips. "You smell...sweet."
