The New Kid

Island Girl

Woke up today due to the rain and it was chilly outside. I put my pink mickey mouse sweater on and put my black leggings, to top it off I wore my uggs. I'm not in the mood to dress up and all that because of what happened yesterday. Clint texted me this morning asking if I wanted a ride for school. I told him he should pick me up in about 10 minutes or so.

I went downstairs to find my brother Nathan eating his oatmeal.

"Morning Soph" he smiled at me.

"What do you want?" I ask him curiously..

"How come you know I was gonna ask you something....?" He ask back without making eye contact with me.

I walk to the fridge and pour myself orange juice and took out a strawberry yogurt.

"I'm your sister and you're like 10. I know you want something" I smile at him and played with his dark brown hair.

I know he hates it when I play with his hair.

"Seriously..stop playing with my hair" he screams at me.

I just laugh and walked straight to the living room. It was still raining.

"Morning Soph" mom said trying to put her blazer on.

"Yeah morning" I try smiling at her but surprisingly I failed.

"How come you didn't eat dinner with us?" Dad chirped in the conversation.

"I was hmmm not in the mood to eat and besides I had a bad day yesterday." I shrug.

They nodded.

*beep*

I found a text from Clint

I'm outside babe

I told my parents I was leaving,we exchanged goodbyes and I hugged my brother.

"We'll talk about it later" he whispers to my ears making me shiver. I nod.

I got inside Clint's bmw.

"Hi babe" he kissed me slowly with our tongue in sync.

"Hi.." I smiled

"Sorry about yesterday..I had an early practice and about that thing at your locker" he told me.

"Sure its fine but try being honest with me and open up to me, I don't keep secrets from you" I said.

He sighed.

"I know babe and that is why I'm apologizing" he grips the steering wheel.

"I accept your apology" I smile and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you babe" he intertwined our fingers.

We arrived 10 minutes later and we got out of the car and went straight to my locker.

"When did you and Alice start talking together?" I ask him while trying to take my history text book out of the locker.

He seems to stiffen up abit. Then he shrugged it off and played it cool..

How weird, I thought

"I know right, she seems to be having trouble in Biology and she asked me to help her tomorrow after school..like should I?" He basically just asked for my permission.

"Well I'm sure you can, you're pretty good at biology and that. Just remember don't do something that you'll regret. Besides she is my friend" I assure him.

"Thanks you're like the best girlfriend ever. She was getting a D all the time. She seems bumped" he complimented me and we start walking to his locker.
