Melanie's pov
"I just realised you never got your food that you ordered." He is probably so hungry especially since he was watching me eat mine.

Carl's pov
This girl is so nice, she is always thinking about other people yet she has so much going on in her life. "It's 'aight I'll just get Debbie to make me something" I say trying to hide my hunger. She looks at me and asks "who's Debbie? Is she your babysitter or something?" I laugh loudly. "Haha! No she's my sister but imma tell her you said that." I notice her face get kinda red so I forget about telling Debbie. "So is Kassidy your sister too? Because Fiona mentioned her name also." Man, i was tryna get away from Kassidy for a bit, I know she is my girlfriend but couples need to spend a bit of time away from each other...don't they?
"Ummm, no Kassidy is actually my girlfriend..." I stop and awkwardly scratch the back of my neck. I didn't want to tell her because I was enjoying spending time with Melanie and not thinking about Kassidy.

Melanie's pov
"....Kassidy is actually my girlfriend." The words trailed out of his mouth like he was ashamed of it. Look I know I said that I didn't want a serious relationship right now but ,I don't know, I like Carl a lot. "Oh cool, can't wait to meet her" he looks at me and smiles.

We are at the Gallagher household and there is what looks like a homeless man sleeping on the porch. "What's with the smelly man?" I ask as he kicks the man and tells him to wake up. "What do you want?! Can't a man get a good nights sleep around here?" The man shouts clearly angry. "Frank! You're in the way of the door! I need to get in the house." Carl shouts, his patience clearly running out.
"Alright, I'm an old man don't shout at me, I'm going to the Alibi." Frank murmurs while walking away.

"Who was that?"
"My dad"
"Ok thank god" I say relieved that it wasn't just a random man. He looks at me at smiles like he's amused. "What?"
"Nothing." 
"One sec come here" He holds my hand and takes me to the side of the house. "Why did you bring me here?" I ask genuinely confused. He takes out his phone and takes mine out of my pocket. "I am putting my number on your phone before you meet my girlfriend." Just as he says that a loud screeching noise comes out from the window above us.

"CAAAAARRRRRRRRLLLLLLL!!!" I quickly looked up and a blonde girl, with blue eyes and stick thin eyebrows had her head poking out from the window. She then screamed a sentence as if it was all one word. "IWOKEUPANDYOUWERENTINBEDWITHME!!!" She then took a deep breath and said "why??" As if she didn't just scream   so loudly at the top of her lungs.
"Hey babe...." Carl says uncertain.
"One second." The girl says moving away from the window. A few seconds later she was standing a few feet away from us. "Kassidy I was buying something special for you."
"Well what is it?" She asks slowly walking towards us. "Can't tell you yet, it's a surprise!" He says enthusiastically. They kiss for what seems like 10 minutes and then Kassidy asks who I am. "I'm Melanie nice to meet you" I reply extending my hand out for her to shake it. She then directs her gaze to Carl with a 'who is this' kinda look. "She's my errrmm.." I could tell he was trying to make something up. "Cousin. Yep, that's right your my cousin aren't you Melanie?" He looks at me longingly urging me to go along with his lie. "Yes nice to meet you I'm Melanie Gallagher, Frank's brother's daughter." I reply making up as I go along. I don't feel comfortable knowing that he can't just tell her who I actually am.
"Oh well hi I'm Kassidy and I belong to Carl, see?" She then proceeds to lift up her skirt, revealing panties that read: 'ALL CARLS'. I stand there looking down not knowing what to say or do. My mouth forms an 'o' shape as I turn my head to Carl.
