Laura P.O.V
I held onto Edward tight and kissed his head softly whispering softly to him that 'it's gonna be okay' and 'I won't let them hurt you again'. This calms him down softly as I kept my eyes around all of them while they discuss about something.
"They won't leave. We either kill her or she turns." I heard one of them say as I felt Edward tense. I stroke his shoulder gently to come him down.
"But what if she is to reborn again? Like last time?" Another voice asked.
"Then we'll find her before anyone could." I heard them say as I narrows my eyes at them. They all turned towards me while I grip my dagger with one hand and Edward with the other as I glare at them all.
They turned back to discuss as I looked at Edward who gave me a look of worry.
"I won't let them kill me." I mumbled to him as I caress his cheek.
"I will protect you with everything. Even if it cost me my life." He whispers softly to me as I shook my head.
"No, your not." I argue with him, but he held my head with both of his hands as I look straight into his yellow eyes.
"I will. As long as your safe and alive. I will protect you with everything." He smiles as I sighed. He kissed me gently before holding me tight as I did the same. I looked up towards the vampires who where still discussing about their plan and only one is left out.
Marcus Volturi sat on his throne looking at us with a soft expression. It wasn't cranky or bored, but soft before standing up.
"We shouldn't be discussing this situation." Marcus tells them causing everyone as well as Edward to look at him.
"What do you mean, Marcus?" Caius asked him shocked for a bit.
"You all are choosing death over a girl who has her mate within her reach when she has a life on her own that she needed to experience." He looked at us before looking back at them.
"When I lost my mate, I want nothing more then death. I've been waiting for death with all my life, but choosing who to kill that wasn't on death's list is very shameful. We will not kill her, but let her choose what she wants. She either stay as human and grow old or become a vampire. We are not gods, faiths nor destiny to be choosing who gets to live or die." Marcus said with seriousness in his voice and everyone looked at him with shock.
"You can't be serious Marcus!" Caius shouts, but Aro raised his hand to stop Caius as he did only glaring at Marcus.
"He is quite right. We aren't gods or any beings to choose what to do with her life. Only she could." Aro said agreeing to the idea and Caius looked like his eyes will bulge out of their sockets. Fat chance blondie. I thought smirking as Edward silently laugh hearing what I'm thinking.
The door opened and we all looked to see Alice walking in with two Vampires holding her arms, but she yanks them away glaring at them.
"We found her inside the castle your majesties." One of them said as me and Edward stood up.
"Alice Cullen! It is so wonderful to see you again." Aro greets with a smile. Does this guy ever stop smiling?
"I came with Laura Swan and I had a premonition of her becoming one of us." She tells them as Aro went in front of her quickly. I looked up at Edward as he looked down at me and we both held hands before our eyes went towards Alice.
"May I, my dear?" He asked as Alice let him. They both stared at each other for a few minutes before Aro let his hand go.
"I guess her faith has already been decided, but it won't be today I believe." He tells the others as Caius looked at him with disbelief and Marcus seemed more relief as he sat back down again.
"You must turn her soon...or we will." Aro turns and glares at us before walking towards his throne followed by Caius.
"You may leave." Aro said waving his hand as the vampires lead us towards the door. Edward wrapped his arms around me as I saw people with children walking passed us.
"They look delicious." One of the vampires smirk as they spoke to each other.
"They sure do. We'll have so much fun." The woman smirks passing us.
"Save some for us!" He shouts as he led us. I looked back over my shoulders as I hear the doors close and screams. I became nauseous as I leaned against Edward.
"It's okay. I'm right here." His voice echoes as I closed my eyes.
