Three months had passed since Ironhide had disappeared.
Leona barely knew when she was "awake" or "asleep" anymore. The Lioness, as the scientists had come to dubb the alternate personality, seemed to slowly(but surely) take over more and more.
None of them were sure why, but they guessed it had something to do with the gaps in Leona's memory. The girl was slowly forgetting moments that used to mean so much to her. Soon enough she could barely remember Ironhide. It would only be when she spotted the jacket that he had once worn that the mech's holoform's face would flash into her mind.
Azazel and Alina, despite their great age of knowledge, were at a loss at what to do.
They had both put aside any bickering or fighting to be there for their human. Both of them already feeling the effects of whatever this was.
Alina and Azazel were growing increasingly worried each time Leona managed to "wake" up - putting The Lioness back to sleep - each time the girl remembering less and less.
The lions feared that she would soon forget about them.
And as the devil would have it... she did.

The Lioness inwardly grinned to herself, a stoic look outwardly.
Her emotionless eyes glanced towards the lions, both of them flinching at her.
The Lioness got up when someone knocked on the door to the room.
Issac immediately could tell the difference between the girl he once knew, and the girl that stood in front of him now, "Are you ready?"
The Lioness's eyes blinked, "Yes," her robotic voice said.
Issac nodded, leading the way to the main deployment room with a grim look.
The Lioness followed him obediently, the lions that were once with her, vanished as soon as they tried to follow her out of the room.
The Lioness was alone once again.

And this is the the end of Footloose, but, don't worry. There will definitely be a sequel to this book. Ironhide and Leona's story isn't over yet(cuz apparently this is a love story between the two, that I have no idea how it happened)!
