Mikasa stared through a clear window which revealed a dull, gray sky. She sighed tiredly, knowing it was going to rain soon but Eren wasn't home yet. Leaning her head lightly against the window, the quiet pitter patter began outside. Mikasa smiled to herself, enjoying the calming sound of rain. Suddenly, she heard a click from the front door and looked up slowly. Eren walked in the door and looked to the ground as he hurried out of the relentless rain. Lifting his hood off his puffy brown hair, he grinned at Mikasa.
"Miss me, Mika?"
She smiled widely as she got up from the soft couch and walked towards Eren. She then buried her head into his shoulder as she hugged him, mumbling, "Mhmm."
He laughed and led her back towards the couch, hands around her waist. Eren lit a fire on the toasty fireplace and snuggled into Mikasa, his arms encircling her carefully.
"I missed you too."
