(Y/N)'s POV
"Promise me... that you will always remember me..." the boy said. "No matter what happens, we need to have each other's backs."
"Okay! I promise!"
That dream... it kept repeating over and over again about a guy and a girl keeping a promise. It gets annoying every time I dream about it.
Ever since the so-called car accident that happened to me a few years ago, I've been having very blurry dreams that keep me up all night and annoy me to the very core of my soul.
It also annoys me that I couldn't see their faces...
"(Y/N)!!!" Mom calls, "Get your butt down here and eat breakfast!"
"Coming, Mom!" I said as I quickly take one last look at my full body mirror at muttering positive and negative things about myself.
School. Synonym? Hell. Some people find school fun, educational, great, and oh-so-cool! Well, guess what honey, not everyone finds it fun and cool. Most people find it dreadful. That's it.
And here we are! I, (Y/N) (L/N), am getting ready to go to UA Highschool! And I am not prepared for anything... Unexpected... Not.
All right, storytime! When I was in middle school, my friends dared me to take the entrance exam. They knew that I was going to apply to Ketsubutsu Academy. It kinda annoyed me at first, but I mean... Two of my favorite heroes, Eraserhead and Present Mic, is teaching there! So I agreed and gave UA a shot.
When I got to the auditorium, I saw Present Mic and I just couldn't hold it in me, but I had to restrain myself. I put my whole mind, body, and soul into stopping myself from screeching and making a fool of myself (not that I already am but, eh).
And GOOD DEAR GOD! I have found my soulmate because I heard him muttering about Present Mic, but no I was a socially awkward nobody that knew no one in that room.
The entrance exam was... Interesting and frightening, is what I can say as of now. There was a scary porcupine blowing everything up, well not literally everything, but the robots.
And broccoli boy (muttering guy), took down a huge zero pointer.
I would've taken it down. I would've passed the whole thing and be on the number one spot. But I didn't do that because I wanted to go to Ketsubutsu. So I purposely did my average best.
Now the next day, my results were sent and... I didn't pass. My mom pats me as she sobs in disappointment, while I try my best to stop myself from grinning in front of my mother. The only thing on my mind was that I get to go to Ketsubutsu! Where my friend, Tatame Nakagame, was rumored to be studying there. I, being her elementary friend and still keeps in touch with her, confronted her and yes, she is going to be studying there.
I dressed up and rushed to school immediately, excitedly looking for Tatachan, or so I call her.
And there she was, smiling from ear to ear as she sees me. We hugged, squealed, caught up on each other, and a lot more.
Now, here's the stupid part.
A month after my happy life and having made friends with the people in my class, UA makes a phone call at our house. And oh goody! I... Passed.
"It must've been a mistake! I failed the entrance exam!" I grimaced, as my mother looked at me with pleading eyes. "It's not fair!"
"Look, sweetie, you are changing schools right now." My mother smiled.
