"Granny. You know how work is a bitch. I have to work overtime to finish it. Try and understand this year its not happening." said Romila on skype.
Romila Basu was a journalist. She lived in Toronto, Canada and visited her grandparents in India once in a while. But that year. It was the most unforeseen year ever for her. The most deadly one.
"Romi please. You know we are getting old. We need you here. This might even be our last time together. Please come." said Romila's grandmom.
"Granny please stop being so emotional. I seriously have work. I'll skype you later. Take care." and she cut the connection.
Romila wasn't happy to talk to her grandmom like that. But she had no choice. Her so-called "Stupid" editor had given her so much of work that she could not even spare a breath. Just when she was working at home, her phone rang. "Yeah Romila, Scarlet here. You have to complete a new project. Actually a documentary on people of some other country. And boss has selected India for it. We have booked your flight ticket hotel reservation everything. You need to pack up your bags and leave tomorrow. Make sure you don't go with any of your other work. The documentary is very important. Just that. I am sending you all the flight details and address. You need some help?"
Romila smiled. "Nope. Just cancel the hotel reservation."
